I fully understand what you are saying but good grief I can’t blame them if they’re running a bit low on patience , I don’t just mean this current situation. This last 12 months we’ve been told to be patient over and over again for different things, DU will come good, we’ll get on a run, watch us climb the table, players still bedding in, it’s the injury situation, he’s inherited somebody else’s players , it’s this , it’s that. It’s now nearly a month since they finally got shut of DU. They need to announce the new man ASAP. Get it done. Sorry I’m running out of patience just thinking about it

Supporting this club in recent years feels like one constant waiting game, waiting for another new manager, or that next player who’ll make us click, or the next win, or a new owner, a club statement to clarify something. It’s bloody hard work .

I wish I felt the same. I’d like to think a couple of midfielders would shore us up but I still think there’s too many in the squad who are not consistent and don’t seem to be able to absorb what’s being asked of them.

What needs doing now is the manager situation sorting this week as a matter of urgency. Whoever ends up with the job can then execute their “plan” and bring their style/methods/players in. We are a little in limbo at the moment

Reserve judgement on that, although I do think he’s probably had more (not many I know) opportunities to score than his current figure suggests. He’s not pacey and not a particularly big lad although other players ie Nuttall should be doing far more in the air than they are. But you can see his vision and the way he moves the ball about is generally a cut above the rest which frustrates him but I still think he could be scoring more.

The only time you’re going to know is by going for one or the other, no right or wrong answer. Personally ST and NR makes sense as things stand currently. Know the squad, know what’s needed
