We must do better of course, but it could have been much worse. We did what needed to be done against a determined difficult side who were always going to come at us. They badly needed the points and we rode out their pressure and scored more. Job done.

I hope not, I’m not expecting midfield maestro stuff but I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do.

Surely Lundstram must be nearly ready, when he first got his injury I’m sure four weeks was mentioned. Don’t want to rush but he must be thereabouts now.

I think we fully deserved our win last night , they were difficult opposition, struggling at the bottom with a load of goalless draws behind them. They were definitely the classic high ball specialists-get it high in the box, cause as much confusion as possible and hope it hits someone’s head . We did what we needed to do and we probably should have scored a couple more. There’ll be a good few more like that and we won’t win them all but it’s the change of attitude for me, definitely more resolve about us now and we’d have probably lost that last night under DU.

I feel for them

I went to the game and I dont think we were lucky, I think we did a job on a team who’s main tactic was to lump the ball towards the box, whether it be by throw in or corner. We had to be organised particularly at set pieces and as you’d expect from the home team they had spells of pressure but I think we defended well. Good substitutions too because Norwood and Nuttall were getting nowhere. Reid gets his goal and Willoughby is definitely coming along nicely and played well. Hope their lad was ok at the end of the game.

6 goals in 2 games and 2 victories, that tells us all we need to know. I didn’t go today but Tuesday we played with attacking intent and still managed to defend better than Unsworths defensive tactics . It really does amaze me that two seasoned pro’s like he and Ebrell couldn’t see the problem.
