LaticsPete
Sorry if this is too late for the lifeboats to get to the stricken ship but......Daily Mirror says we are after Bridges on loan from Hull. He did well at this level with Carlisle.

oafc2002
A fit Bridges would be a good player for us, however he is as bad as Darren Anderton for injuries, also im sure he went to Aus on loan ?
Bring Back Ronnie Moore
Not quite a Titanic moment. But; http://www.owtb.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=10834&st=20#
ghostofcecere
Bridges is a great player when fit. But that's the problem, he seems to be even worse than Killen and I'm guessing he maybe looking for a similar level of wages! Still think he would be a good signing though. Totally agree.. think he would be an absolute great signing - tall, strong, brilliant hold up player at this level, would bring others into the game... Am I making this up, but has he not been fit and playing for someone in Australia all for the last 6 months?? To be honest, i'm not sure... but Im sure I saw some random football on sky and Bridges was playing.. pretty sure it was Oz... EDIT: Yep - sydney FC - 9 apps, 2gls... he looked pretty handy when i saw him.... Career Stats.. leeslover
Oldham - the home of the tubular bandage. As long as the deal doesn't leave us exposed to paying him a fortune for being injured then it could turn out to be a stroke of genius. Bridges and Hughes - like the sound of that. RoytonBlueLad
I'll be honest, I am completely unmoved by this. I am neither here nor there with it. He's been around a while now and done it in patches. Age?

He's been around a while now and done it in patches. Age? He's 29. There's no doubting his ability, just his fitness/ability to not get crocked again. I think having him on loan for a short while is a no lose situation.
RoytonBlueLad
29 I believe. Ahh go on then, draft him in.

RoytonBlueLad
That's what I like about you RBL , always willing to take a chance Nothing to lose I guess. Three years younger than my initial thoughts too. Bring him in, we'll make our usual Latics one game assessment and that'll be that.

bigfatjoe1
He's still only 29? He's been around for ages. I always thought he was a very good player, but his injury problems are monumental. Still, worth a punt.

drphibes
I would give Bridges a go but only on a pay as you play contract. When fit he is a very good player at this level and maybe he could be offered the wage packet of the now departed Ricketts ? fleetwood Blue
I think a fit Bridges would be a great addition to our squad, however if he was 100% fit do you think Hull would be letting him go out on loan, he went to Oz to try and regain his fitness levels
GlossopLatic
Sorry got to be honest think it would be a bad move unless its costing us hardly anything at all like a pay as you play we have enough injuries anyway might be 29 but he could finnish anytime soon his injury problems have been that bad. Shame really was a real talent at one point could well have gone on to play for England.
