Frankly Mr Shankly
Does anyone recall the fanzine from days of yore? I'm after getting hold of people who used to write articles for it back in the day. If anyone can help, please do.

If anyone can help, please do. I remember it well, I always used to buy it, it was a good read and funny. Don't know anybody who was involved in writing it or anything, just enjoyed reading it, a young lad always used to sell it on the corner of Furtherwood Road and Boundary Park Road. I've never really been a buyer of Official Programs but the more irreverent style of fanzines makes them far more readable.

Frankly Mr Shankly
Great. Well I've started an online blog/fanzine off today and called it John Kelly Is The Weatherman (If you sung the song on the Chaddy late 80's you'll fit right in!) and I'm looking for people to contribute with articles, match reports, pre-match articles and other amusing anecdotes about Latics. Ex-contributors to BTB (Kaptain Klueless would be ideal as I know he still goes along to Latics) are who I'm looking for, along with anyone else who would like to have a crack. Here's the brief: Well articulated, well written, amusing, sarcastic, sardonic, honest and cutting journalism only. I'll contribute a little, but I need good quality input from a lot of people to make it work. I plan to be more of an occasional writer but in the main I'll moderate and edit articles. Inspirations for this include... http://www.codalmighty.com/site/ca.php?page=home http://theresalwaysnextyear.wordpress.com/ http://www.wsc.co.uk/ You know, that kind of thing. Tongue-in-cheek takes on the daily activities within Boundary Park. So... anyone interested?

Ketsbaia
I did a couple of things for BTB, towards the end of its life. Sorely missed, IMO.

Yeah Kets, I'd appreciate it if you'd contribute mate. At the moment, I have in mind a daily diary thing, per match views, post match reports and a nostalgia section. But I'm open to input on sections really. It's early days and probably won't be in full swing until summer anyway.

leeslover
Like many others Ian McCaskill regretted not having a Catholic education. I did have such an education, but I must have been off sick the day those particular Sisters of Mercy visited. Damn. BTB was class. Especially being in the days long before the internet and with me moving over to a school in Rochdale (and now I think I know what I looking for) it was a great way to keep in touch with opinion as well as being extremely funny.
