edhunteruk
offer from un named club..... theres another one gone be a shame really if he goes,as i think next season he would be a full time coach, and our keepers would benefit from a specialist keeper coach. good luck to him if he does go,and carrys on playing. Crusoe
Wouldn't mind him staying as a coach, but we can't be paying over the odds for an injury-prone player who turns 40 in June. That's not a slight on his professionalism, but a reflection of our circumstances.

As a goalkeeper coach I have no idea how good he is - but Josh Bell hasn't exactly been turned in to a hot prospect.

He may well be superb and have the guts to make the right call about a young goalkeeper who wasn't up to it.
singe
It is interesting though, Flaming has been dropped in favour of Hartlepools 3rd choice, A loan keeper from Ipsich, and a 40 year old who has not played for quite a few games. I don't know but either they don;t rate him or training is an issue, or out of form? but that is two successive managers. But the fans seem to think he is OK at this level. Something is not quite right. he should be the first name on the sheet, literally as wella s form wise shouldn't he? It cannot all be put down to other optiions can it? Shez to Budtz "I'll play you in a few games, we're desperate, please come" Joe to Supple "I'm weighing up my options for next season. Greg's under contract but I'd like to see if you're up to the standard needed to be my number one if you're up for it and I like what I see (budget permitting)". Joe to Norm "I want to see you play a couple of games then we'll talk about next season". I don't think any of them have a problem with Fleming. He's under contract and they know they can rely on him to be no.1 if that's the best bet. In Joe's case he is rightly weighing up his options. al_bro
I think it may be his interview on World. Yes it was in his LW interview. He also said that he had lost a friend in the manager. Maybe he's decided to leave anyway after the way he thought Shez had been trwated.

tangerinedreams
There is another keeper I can think of....tony Bullock, currently on loan to Montrose, 36 years old, 6' 1", record reads home: 20 against away: 23 against, started his career off at Northwich Vics, Macc, Barnsley then went north of the border to Raith Rovers then to Dundee, played in the SCF against Celtic, had 1 put past him, his words not mine......." i have signed a pre contract 4 next season with Dundee but i'm playing 4 Montrose until end of the season to keep myself fit" Now whether or not he would want to move south of the border again I dont know, Edited April 23, 2009 by tangerinedreams

Crossley has been unable to coach our keepers how to make the right call to defenders to avoid costley cock-ups, which have become the norm!
