steveoafc Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Who's your money on for our leading scorer this season . . Abbott , parker , taylor ? Can anyone hit the magic 20 goals or will we be looking to share them around again ? Seems ages since we had a prolific marksman. Maybe penney has got another surprise up his sleeve. Quote

OldhamSheridan Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Abbott all the way for me. Not sure too many goals will win it this year. Quote
mikejh45 Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 (edited) My money's on Greegs. Which end though, Stitch? He's had enough to time to suss out how to beat Brill!!! Edited August 1, 2009 by mikejh45 Quote
Lookers_Carl Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Abbott with 15 imo Closely followed by Taylor and Parker with 12 each Quote
Ernie For England Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 (edited) My money's on Greegs. He almost scored a delightful chip on wednesday but my money's on parker Edited August 1, 2009 by Ernie For England Quote
underdog Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 abbott....17 taylor.....12 parker....10 greegs and rubes.....half of our against through their testing of brill......hope im wrong..... Quote
BigfinLatic Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 My money's on Greegs. Depends if he has returned to his "Must have one shot from Half-way every game" policy.... it was unfortunately curbed mast season when we started playing like a pub team... Strangely i'm thinking Taylor.... i'm similarly worried about where goals are coming from. As for our strikers - If the headless arrogant little scottish pratt gets into double fugures for us I will be stunned. As I've said, I do hope he proves me wrong. I also cant see Pav getting more than 15. We will see.... Quote
BigfinLatic Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Anyone know if Furman can score goals? I'm sure he can, whether he will is another question! Scored 4 last season IIRC. Depends what role he is being used in. If worthy is playing the anchor role, i'm sure he will be tasked at getting into the box whenever possible. Quote

ritchie82 Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Seems ages since we had a prolific marksman. Did you not see that fat bald ex con we had last season? Dear me. Quote
rosa Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 My money's on Greegs. I lost enough money on him last season, i'm not doing it again.i was so convinced he was gonna score against Leeds.... If Abbott stays fit (and it's a big if) i can see him getting 15+,not sure who else could really. Quote
tangerinedreams Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 I don't give a flying who the top scorer is as long as we score more than the opposition!! Quote
oafc-latics Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 I don't give a flying who the top scorer is as long as we score more than the opposition!! same for me but i can see goals coming from all over the team. if parker can do free-kicks, he'll do ok and i think abbott and taylor will get a fair few. RobOAFC Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Anyone got anymore news on byfield, is he joining us or is DP giving him a run out today? If he is given a run out again today, maybe him and parker could possibly start upfront for us for this game. To who will be our top scorer mine would be Byfield (IF he joins) 19 Abbott (IF he stays fit) 16 Parker 13 (Including him taking free-kicks) Taylor 10 Quote
fleetwood Blue Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 No doubt about it Abott will be the top goalscorer this season with about 15, Parker will get about 10 Quote
nava Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Abbott will be as long as he stays fit, he is easily capable of 20. Can see Parker and Taylor both getting around the 10 mark. Our midfeild definitly has goals in them unlike the ones of the past few years with the exception of the odd player. At the moment maybe the question should be how many clean sheets are we capable of!!! Quote
