downender2
Having a big budget in this division, in terms of league finish, guarantees nothing. If it did, Leeds would have been gone long long ago. You don't need a mega budget to compete at this level. Ask Danny Wilson at Swindon, whose budget is considerably less than those of his playoff counterparts I believe. And I remember a Donny fan saying (might have been on here actually) that Penney actually performed best when he did have to manage on a shoestring budget. IF CARLSBERG DID POST'S ON FOOTBALL FORUMS....
BP1960
Oldham are not seeking Administration unlike other teams in our league and the league below us. Our Debts are inhouse and not external so there is no need for Administration. When it is mentioned that the club has to cut its budget and look at its finances lots of fans firstly think of Admin. Thats a threat we have experienced so its justified. We need to sell season tickets.... I just hope that some fans think of the club rather than the manager and realise that the manager is short term and the clubs future is paramount. Season tickets won't be sold until fans are convinced the product on the pitch will improve, no matter what calibre of player we have bright attacking football should still be played. footy68
One thing I do know - NYB is an account that all of the owners use from time to time. Re: administration, when Latics and England and me met Hardy, Corney, Blitz and Joy they were clear that there would be no need for administration in the event of them all dying in a plane crash/becoming City fans/going bankrupt themselves. The only debts of any significance are those owed to Blitz and Gazal, so they would basically be demading money from themselves. If that did happen we would need to cut back the wage bill heavily and very quickly, simple as that. We really could do with some good news at the moment to push back against the negative tide we seem to be swimming through. How dare you post facts foreign boy! This is clearly a rumour thread, please delete your post and make something up.
Andy
Its all bollox and just a scare tactic for us to buy, its not rocket science to make money you need a good team that play good football and the rubbish we have had all this season will have a big effect on them money, simple solution stop buying crap show effort on the pitch win games will make people come back and spend. Im sick of the we need to cut the budget its boring if you cant afford to get us decent players wtf do you expect if this is the case thay should move on and we get new owners in that will put there money into the team. wogghead1
i heard we would have gone into administration a few weeks back voluntarily if we would have had 12 more points as not to have got relegated, but with the dire points total we held off. next seasons season tickets on sale before the end of the current season? new kit on sale before the end of the current season? do we need the money now? i think so. I think i will take it from the horses mouth over your word for it. Why do people still come on with this rubbish when the club director has already been on this same thread a couple of days ago saying there is no truth in it. I doubt we would have just payed up Pennys contact either if we were on the verge of admin. Season tickets are sold at this time every year

garcon
All that proves is that some players are incredibly stupid. And know very little about the running of their club.
Fishomania
from a players mouth. dont shoot the messenger. TBH I heard this from within the club a month or so ago, but the relegation that the 10pts Deduction would cause was too much at the time. So i wouldn't be surprised if it was annouced soon. Senor_Coconut
So is it common practice to tell members of staff we'll be going into administration months before we ere likely to be at the point.
Bring Back Ronnie Moore
Why the hell is this even still being discussed? A company director has come and dispelled these rumours himself. Senor_Coconut
So who do we owe the debt to? According to the last set of accounts the only group we owe money to are TTA.
Fishomania
Why the hell is this even still being discussed? A company director has come and dispelled these rumours himself. We're not going into administration. No somebody claiming to be a Company Director (newyorkboss) has come on a fans board and said there is no truth to the rumour, if he really is a club director and want's to dispell the rumour then the proper place and the one place most fans will believe is on the Official Club website. smartzatart
According to the last set of accounts the only group we owe money to are TTA. garcon
A rumour is only worth dispelling on the official site if it has any credibility. A handful of 'fans' on a message board who claim to have heard the rumour does not amount to credibility. When it's brought up in the press would be the time for any kind of official statement. The club would never get any real work done if it had to dispel every single ridiculous, groundless rumour peddled on here.
Senor_Coconut
Have the players had their appearance fees and bonuses from last month yet? Have we paid for the pies yet? JoeP
Two questions: If we were going into admistration, surely that would mean TTA were willing to write off everything the club owes them (or, for example, accept 1p for £1 of the debt owed)? Surely TTA would have advertised more vigourously that they were looking for external investment as an alternative to administration? RobOAFC
As leeslover said, he knows the clubs directors/owners use the account 'newyorkboss' from when he met them, one of the directors has come on and dismissed the rumour, as we only owe money to TTA. They wont demand the money from us as they can simply take the season ticket sales money etc if they wished to do so.
