Gannon, Scott Murray, Frankie Bunn, Paul Dickov and Crossley all came back for their second interviews yesterday having all been up there on Monday. Thats your shortlist folks unless other interviews have gone on elsewhere.

Gannon if not Dickov for me. Bollocks to Bunn he's a legend and I can't be arsed slagging him off as I did at one point with Ritchie.

Perhaps it's more than an assumption...

Maybe it is, but I'll tell you this for a FACT. After our last game of the season one James Gannon popped up outside the doors of the Armoury public house which is a well known haunt for County fans post match. A number of County fans (myself included) went outside to speak to him. One fan raised a question as to whether he was going to be Oldham's next manager. I won't tell you the response as I wouldn't want you to be against him from the off if he did turn up to be your next gaffer, save to say that there was an f word involved and there was little doubt as to his feelings on that subject. When the inevitable question came about County, he raised his eyebrows, smiled and said "couldn't say".

He could have been lying of course to keep us all on side but the thing with Jim is, he doesn't really do lies, in fact quite the opposite; which is often to his detriment.

Alan Smith told Leeds fans he wouldn't go to Man Utd but when a bigger club comes calling its hard to say no.

Well if it involved f word's and little doubt, with makes it sound like he wasnt happy, then how come he has been in for interviews, showing he has applied for the job?

Strange, but I actually believe this.

The offical states 10 and I don't believe Grey has been up to the talking point so unless they have been on two sites or done some last week others could be involved.

Good point. I remember a user on here setting fire to his Leeds shirt and posting photos of it on the web after that happened...

We remember promises.

Ex owner outside the pub in the play off game v QPR.

Iain Dowie shouting go hard or go home, about 2 weeks before he went

things change

At that point you looked nailed on to be taken over very soon.

That said, Iwill be suprised if he does not join you still. He would be mad not to have us as back up.

look's like its frankie bunns job

Bunn leaves Frankie Bunn has left Coventry City. The former Oldham Athletic striker was brought to the club by Iain Dowie as a coach and reserve team manager and has left the club after his three year contract ended. Speaking to the CT, City Chairman Ray Ranson said; "Frankie has not been sacked. He was on a fixed three year deal and was told twelve months ago that he wouldn' be getting a new contract at the end of the season, so if he wanted to fix something up for himself, fine." All at Covsupport News Service wish Frankie well in his career.

It's official he's been for an interview then ? Did the OAFC website tell us all that ? Or just rumours on here ?

It was less then three weeks ago and we were never going to be taken over from that point in less time than that. We've arranged a press conference for Friday which should see us out of admin. So if he has been offered your job he'll have a choice to make soon.

If he did rejoin as manager, any idea what kind of budget he will have to work with?

Although I believe it's more than likely he'll be with you next year, what else was he going to say when he's surrounded by a load of county fans in a pub asking questions?

Some of us knew for a week before that Iain Dowie was leaving for Crystal Palace, at a fans forum he stood up and denied that he was leaving for Palace yet two days later he was sat next to Simon Jordan as the new Palace boss.

No idea really. The 2015 group have said they are 'well financed' but have said they won't go into specifics until we are officially out of admin.
