We have a striker on international duty

Times are good

Better not get injured !

Good news for him...bad news for us, especially if he ends up just sitting on the bench.

It doesn't look like Eaves will be playing, so we are left with Kelly and the youngsters (unless Dickov gets involved)...we could do with a decent run in the competition.

Dickov's got a heel injury from training and will not figure.

Kelly looked pretty sharp when he came on at Tranmere and he will be busting a gut to impress and stake a claim for Saturday....if Dickov wants effort he'll certainly get it with Kelly!!!

Or Taylor, Millar, or McGrath could play on the left to release Alessandra to play up front, against the team he scored 3 against 2 seasons ago.

Also, Scunny have Murphy away with ireland's squad, and their 2nd keeper is out on loan at Rochdale, so they will have a guy in net making his first ever competitive start.

he let 3 goals in in half an hour when he came on as sub at Blackpool last season.

Think that was quite obvious from his pre-season games. Work-rate & effort will not be lacking from Mr. Kelly that’s for sure. If he can add to that a good sprinkling of goals; then he’ll surely prove to be a decent signing?

Good point; might be an option BUT; I have to say that I think PD is better to leave Lewi exactly where he is on the LM; as he’s been mighty impressive in his games in that position so far; and the more he plays there; the better he’ll get as he adjusts to the new role. From what I’ve seen & what’s been said by PD & Tags; I think it may well just be a permanent positional switch for Lewi; he’s looked pretty ‘at home’ on the left of midfield.
