oafckev Posted August 14, 2010 Share Posted August 14, 2010 Wow that was enjoyable! The football, beer, music and the atmosphere were all better than last season - and to top it off it was sunny! Notts were poor - probably on par with Tranmere last week but you've got to beat whats in front of you and we certainly did that. I loved Hughes' little 'pass to me wave' perfectly timed with our chants of 'Hughesey give us a wave'. He was their danger man but we marked him out of the game. Tounkare's goal was a belter and it we can sort his running (Shez's last seasons knees by the look of him running!) then we might have a decent player. Not sure about that! They had a couple of chances early doors in the 1st, but didn't threaten Brill at all from what I can remember! They had plenty of free kicks where they got headers on it, but didn't get anything on target. Brill didn't have a save to make 2nd half, I don't think. A superb display front to back.
