Takemeanywhere
christmas markets for me...better book an appointment with the bank manager... You've got a good bank manager, if he/she will meet you at the Christmas Markets on a Saturday.

Alec1954
Is the decision in instances like this left to people who are not professionally qualified to make decisions??? In my view a scientific and proven approach is required.. to walk about on the pitch and provide a view is not good enough. What does the chap involved know aobut the drainage at BP, the type of surface, the rate of frost removal given the temperature etc? I would prefer the De-Grasso people to make decisions on behalf of the Football League. All very amateurish.
Oafc88
Just had a look at Swindon's fixtures and they are free the 8th Jan as they are meant to play Leyton, but seeing as they are in the FA cup still, i see no reason why it cant be played then! EDIT: Looks like this has already been mentioned in another thread, note to self: read other related threads before posting info Edited December 10, 2010 by Oafc88

razza699
Very premature imo. Yep, if it stays like this and its mild tonight and mild tomorrow I reckon it would be playable , but what do I know
th2003
I am absolutely disgusted at the timing of this postponement. Shopping in Bury by the looks of things tomorrow. Black Pudding Butty for breakfast is my only silver lining.

Going from the website, our groundstaff, which I would imagine are professionally qualified, had the concerns and it was based on these concerns that a match official called off the game. OldhamSheridan
I agree it's a disgrace timing it to a similar time to kickoff the day before the match and stopping all those Swindon fans travelling halfway up the country.

MaskedOwl
I'd rather it be called off than risk injury to our players.

maddog
are you single? I'm not, but still see it as bonus extra time in the pub
OldhamSheridan
how many swindon fans will be travelling today though ? Is that relevant? When should they have done the pitch test when fans wouldn't be moaning? It looks like this could be an ideal one to have called off with the FA Cup freeing up both clubs, so no big deal. Will there suspendered lad still be out, anyone?

oldhamains
We always seem to fail when the odds are 50/50. Didn't we cancal a match last season about a week before or something daft like that.
OldhamSheridan
You're right, of course he won't be outed. They've five games before then. Silly me.
