Gerry Taggart best ever assistant ?

Thread was best league 1 team at this level, including managers

At this level. Only other number 2's that have crossed my mind at this level (that weren't make do number twos and were appointed by their respective managers) were Tommy Right, Martin Gray, Ron Reid, John Brekin, Billy Urmson, Gerry Taggart.

Suppose,

although I dont think Taggart brought much to the table last season , definately not defending set pieces

DR: Neal Eardley

DC: Fitz Hall

DC: Sean Gregan

MR: Chris Taylor

Can't believe the number of people who left out Sheridan!

He was very good, but at the wrong end of his career, meaning I thought Wellens, Kilkenny and Murray were better players whilst at the club. Sheridan stood out in what was an otherwise :censored:e team most weeks though!

Surely the best number 2 we had at this level was John Harbin probably the most forward thinking coach we have had.

I'll stand corrected but I always thought Harbin was 'fitness coach', not ID's actual number two.

I'm pretty sure he was his number 2 just that unlike other number 2's who are often ex players who played for the same team as the manager and he specialised in fitness and sports pychology if he wasn't Dowies number 2who was?

Harbin was the fitness coach. David Cross was Dowie's number 2
