Lookers_Carl
Thought I would start a thread a tad more optimistic. Name your best Latics team consisitng of players who have played for us at this level , as in League 1/Division 2/3rd Tier of English Football will even chuck in kit and manager too as the last thread did, alongside a number 2 and captain And feel free to deviate from a 4-4-2 Manager: Iain Dowie Assistant: Gerry Taggart Kit: 2007/2008 Carlotti Home Shirt GK: Lee Grant DL: Chris Armstrong DR: Kieran Lee DC: Fitz Hall DC: Clint Hill MR: Lee Croft ML: David Eyres MC: Ritchie Wellens MC: Tony Carss FC: Luke Beckett FC: Lee Hughes Edited June 27, 2011 by Lookers_Carl

Lookers_Carl
Gerry Taggart best ever assistant ? Thread was best league 1 team at this level, including managers At this level. Only other number 2's that have crossed my mind at this level (that weren't make do number twos and were appointed by their respective managers) were Tommy Right, Martin Gray, Ron Reid, John Brekin, Billy Urmson, Gerry Taggart. Suppose, although I dont think Taggart brought much to the table last season , definately not defending set pieces

youngen
Can't believe the number of people who left out Sheridan! He was very good, but at the wrong end of his career, meaning I thought Wellens, Kilkenny and Murray were better players whilst at the club. Sheridan stood out in what was an otherwise :censored:e team most weeks though!

I'll stand corrected but I always thought Harbin was 'fitness coach', not ID's actual number two.

I'm pretty sure he was his number 2 just that unlike other number 2's who are often ex players who played for the same team as the manager and he specialised in fitness and sports pychology if he wasn't Dowies number 2who was?
