The poor soul has to find something he can do in Rochdale other than standing on street corners and marrying his cousin. The fact he is on OWTB says hes looking for something beyond the limits of Vauxhall Corsa pimping, fake tan, and six fingered girlfriends with web feet??? <_< He will be waiting in anticipation for the fair to appear at Hollingworth Lake and his holidays.

Its only a bit of fun you miserable git, cant wait to head off up to Hollingworth lake in my Corsa. Mind you it beats going Alexandra Park or Werneth Park avoiding the muggers and dossers.

Come on lads and lasses lets give the doggerdale fans their brief taste of parity. We all know they'll slide back to the usual level before too long. But really Chris Taylor to Rochdale....behave yourself if you want credibility.

Why would it be such a shock, money in the bank to pay transfer fees, able to pay wages ontime on a monthly basis, young dymanic management team, forward thinking board of directors and last but not least.......4 stands in the ground (sorry couldnt resist)

Have your forward thinking board of directors thought of installing a retractable roof to avoid games being called off at short notice because of waterlogging ?

.........Just asking

Yeh that's who I thought but as Rob says is in Austria with his club, Am bored so after checking various midlands teams there's a certain ex County player who has been linked with us before, fits the bill & is a midfielder/ forward!

I have run this past some business friends I have who are Stoke based and Stoke supporters.

They have Tonge, Andrew Davies (ex-Southampton) and Tom Soares (ex- Palace) all in the last year of their contracts who are nowhere near their first team. The thought was that Stoke would be trying to offload them in the transfer window while they still have some value but they would want some sort of fee for players they paid out £1m each for.

On the loan front they are certain Stoke will be looking to loan out some of their younger players who are on the fringe of the first team. They mentioned two players they stole from the Crewe Academy, Ben Marshall and Mathew Lund.

Marshall apparently did really well for Carlisle on loan last season. Lund had a loan with someone last season possibly Hereford. Marshall and Lund are both midfield. The other player they reckon will go out on a season basis is Louis Moult who was at Bradford and Mansfield on loan last season but had injury problems. He is a striker.

They also mentioned two other things. They reckon we have a young player on trial with us that they were amazed he got released by them in the summer but they expected he would go higher. I have heard this elsewhere too. I wont say too much because I think this one is close to being sorted.

The other thing is that they reckon a Stoke based business man is on the verge of joining our board and putting some cash in. Apparently he tried to get on the board at Stoke but the amount wanted to get involved there was huge. They are owned by Bet365 in effect.

Anyone know owt about this?

Perhaps Gerry T's contacts in Stoke might be helping a bit?

Is this a keeper?

Taggart came over to paul gerrard who was sat at our table at the presentation night saying about a goalkeeper from Stoke, so may well be him.

I love the forward thinking part from the Dale fan, really? There are no plans for you to move your club forward you still have a terrace ffs!! Which is not even allowed in the Championship, you have a small stadium. Part of your stadium is owned by the Rugby team, your carpark holds like 10 cars or something stupid, when we came last season your club struggled to handle it, we brought more fans than you did and our average attendances are about the same even though you were promoted the year before and we were awful.

Rochale AFC- Oldham Athletic's little brother, just becuase suddenley Dogdale are on a level playing field they have got all giddy and forgotten the true order of how Greater Manchester football goes here is a little reminder;

Man U

Man City

Oldham

Bruy

Rochdale/Stockport

Macclesfield

(Not including the clubs like Presten, Stoke, Burnley and the like)

Wigan? Bolton? Given that we seem to be basing this on attendances.. both Premier League.

I wouldn't class as them as Manchester, they would both be above us

Just to correct you about the terrence in the championship, if you have three seasons in the championship then your stadium has to be all seater, hence why scunthorpe united had a campaign against it because if they stayed up they would have to switch to a all seater.

Dosnt matter anyway dogdale would NEVER reach there

Please.

Can somebody mention Hitler?

adolf hitler was a little austrian chap with a funny moustache, a bit like Charile Chaplin. He got very angy about failing at art school, and Germany losing the First World War. He got a bit nasty towards ethnic/minority groups (espeically horrible to the Jews, even though many of them had fought bravely for Germany), adopting social darwin beliefs to nationl politics. he wasn't very bright, but he could whip up a few emotions when giving a speech. He was also very lucky. He was democraticlly elected by the Germans, which says a great deal about them <_<

then there was another war because he fancied taking over big slices of the USSR.

He lost, but he did create a great deal of human suffering along the way.

We was technically late once with wages, other time was late compared to when we usually do, but actually before the end of the month.

4 stands that hold less than a 3 stands. Says it all about your club. If was your board is so forward thinking then they would invest in a thing called drainage, so that your home games don't get called off after a bit of lit rain. Look forward to outnumbering you's again at Spotland again....

May I paraphrase? Short bloke, little tash, shouted a lot, thought the way to Moscow was drive east and its the Third Reich.
