Got the basis of a good squad here. Add a LW and striker who knows where that big netty thing is and we're looking pretty good. And when we find that striker, can we please retire the No17 shirt. Anyway for me Flip flap for the most part did nowt, flashes yes the odd good game yes. So without seeing Crfty play for years I'd stick my neck out and say we've get the better man in. Gaz_Oafc Posted July 3, 2012 Share Posted July 3, 2012 so, having read through an 11-page Lee Croft thread on the st johnstone forum, the general consensus is: He's direct can pick a pass great crossing ability pacey tracks back well he's miles better than their best winger in recent times (fil morais) great footballing brain a class above st johnstone always looks to get the game going when it goes flat their season fell apart when he did his hamstring and all while he was about 3 stone overweight (their words) sounds like a class signing to me!! Amazed we've managed to get him in, wages wise and also talking the player into joining us. Fantastic. Now, over to Crofty himself to get himself fit & in-shape...and PD and the backroom team to get the best out of him. They did it last season with Simpson, I hope they're able to do it again with Lee Croft. If they do - cracking player & cracking signing. And he's clearly the Trannies best player, and despite slowing down, gaining weight after sustaining injuries he's still technically one of the better players in the division, hope Croft can make the same impact.
