Stevie_J
I hadn't realised the Wabara announcement had already been made. In that case, it's Baxter, and not til 27 Jan. http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/article/20130112-baxtersigns-592878.aspx
PlayItLivo
Well done to the club for pulling this off. We've not just signed a top player but a valuable asset, wouldn't surprise me if there's a buy out clause in his contract.
longtimeblue
Very surprised... Fantastic. The £8.50 buy out clause hasn't been mentioned though.. Still could be gone in the summer but we've given him a chance which has been has been repaid by us hopeful getting a reasonable fee. Good lad

Diego_Sideburns
The length of the contract is amazing. Accepting that he's unlikely to stay anywhere near that long but, by signing, he's given Latics, not only the life-belt to avoid the depths of the fourth tier, but also the opportunity to make some money out of him in due course. Well done to all involved in the deal. Thanks Jose for being a shining exampe in these days of greed, and for restoring my faith in professional football. Well said, don't know if there is any truth in this but I heard about 2.15 this afternoon that it was a 2 year contract and he was going to Bolton for next season, obviously the length of contract was wrong but this would give us a decent compo deal., and I wouldn't blame the lad for going. rudemedic
The other good news is if he goes to a club in England at the end of his contract we get compensation as he won't be 24.
