the_mighty_bosh
As I'm feeling in an optimistic mood today... What's been our worst deadline day signing ever? Could be summer/January transfer window or March deadline from the past.
deyres42
Dean Crowe has to rank highly on any list.
Latic76
Was Joe Colbeck a transfer deadline day signing? If so, him....
Stevie_J
Wayne Gill was a deadline day signing, wasn't he?
Markspark92
Terry Dunfield or David Livermoore

LeylandLatic
Terry Dunfield or David Livermoore You can't put David Livermore in the same category I don't think. Was David Lee a deadline day signing? I second the Dean crier suggestion also - a striker with no pace, strength, height, or positional sense/match awareness. Midsblue
Damn it stop being so positive! I said worst! Hey, it's my birthday so I'm way too positive today. Hoping Uncle Simon buys me a nice gift today. Leon Clarke in an Oldham shirt on a two-year deal will make up for me not getting a home shirt

the_mighty_bosh
Hope you have a great deadline (and birth)day Mids! Clarke would fit the bill well. In terms of expectation Reuben Reid is up there with the worst for me, thought he'd be the missing piece of the puzzle when we were around the playoffs but turned out to be woefully unfit. Forgot about Colbeck, the most obvious example of a panic buy I can think of.

palmer1
Dean Crowe has to rank highly on any list. Can a player who scored on his debut and cost nothing be considered the worst? 1 in 5 ratio for the club. Better than some who have come through the doors at Boundary Park? ;) Edit Just checked and that's better than Jon Stead who had 0 in 5 Edited September 1, 2014 by palmer1
BP1960
We have had some duff keepers, not sure if they were deadline days or just on general loan though.
petelatics
Chris Iwelumo - kept trying to head the ball no matter how close to the ground it was and ran off the field quicker than he ever managed during the match!

I've never seen a striker look so unlike scoring and yet he managed it by accident.
