Fleetwood in trouble?

Recommended Posts

Taken from football365 forum this morning...

OK, so I am going to word this VERY carefully for obvious reasons.

Fleetwood Town's ground, Highbury, also acts as office space for BES (their shirt sponsors) and another company whose name I am unsure of.

I know people who live near there and also people who work at the ground for BES.

BES deal in gas and electricity services.

This morning, their offices at the ground were raided by Police and Trading Standards who are still there taking piles of documents away. I do not yet have a media source to back this up, but it's true.

Andy Pilley, who has previously served a prison sentence for a dishonesty offence, owns both the club and BES and if there is a case to answer this will be significant for the future of FTFC.

Doesn't sound like it will have any effect on the football club in the short to medium term at least. May be if he eventually ends up with a massive fine for mis-selling he might have less cash available to fund the club.
