If it’s the person I’m thinking of he was paid - just very late. Not that that makes it ok

I'm fairly certain they still haven't been paid and I have seen seen them recently. Maybe it's a different company?

And he who should not be named has still forgot to resign from the board.  another oversight I'm sure whilst he tries to find a good home for his have eaten directors chair..boo hoo.

Possibly I was talking to someone who said he was on the job early last year who joked saying he’d been paid eventually and laughed - maybe sarcastic or staff who company paid whilst still waiting for Corney - what’s happening with that? He can’t hang around forever can’t AL just sack him if he won’t go?

Could be the person I know of and LL is referring to owns the business so I'm sure he would not have had his staff out of pocket. Even though he is a small business himself it's still a hit to take.

All previous directors accept the trust director were asked to resign. trust director is Simon Brooke

All have accept one. So presently there are three board members Al, Simon Brooke and Corney. There are procedures/processes that have to be followed legally to remove a director.

im sure Al is working on it.

Fair enough - and fair play to AL for wanting a clean slate. I’m no Corney hater but think it’s time he passed the torch lock stock the lot

I suppose in a wAy it was keeping him on board in case of any unexpected bills that could crop up.

lets face it, we still haven't got closure on the HMRC visit pre Xmas yet either.

We haven't actually found out yet whether he sold his shares or whether AL was issued with additional ones.  If the former then I can't imagine him resigning any time soon

DAve, as they simply doubled everything, incl the Trust shares, and he has not resigned would that almost certainly point to a sharing rather than a buy out? If it was a true takeover, wouldn't he normally just buy his shares rather than change them.

Also, what is your view on my theories that AL hasn't really taken the club over because either he doesn't have the money or it is a condition of the takeover by the FA to get him accepted as a owner & Director over a pre-determined period of time? It's unusual any other way isn't it?

Hello Dave

he has sold his 97% shares, subject to our landlords approval and debentures too. That means Al owns the club in name.

if you check companies house you will see the three listed.

the  new owner requesting all former directors to resign. One has not

Apolgies as I  have hijacked this thread somewhat...

I think it’s just a technicaliteh. Don’t know how/why though.

It's an odd one.  In a takeover standard process is for selling party to dispose of shares to buyer; not to create additional equity.

I know. I’ll hold my hands up here - I don’t know why he’s done it this way. Possible tax implications, other reasons, not sure. I know that Corney doesn’t have shares any more though, that I’m sure of.

I know you've suggested the idea a few times, but I really doubt the FA or EFL encouraged us to keep Corney on. They've spent the last however many years dealing with him running the worst governed club in the league.

Corney still owns half the shares in OAFC 2004 Ltd. FACT.

When things change at Companies House I will believe differently.

All on Companies House:  https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/04989487

On 1 March the confirmation statement was filed showing no changes but as that was dated in Dec 17 no surprises

On 6 Match AL's appointment as director was filed

On 6 March the number of shares in issue was doubled from 100 to 200.  No indication of who they belong to.  6 (3%) are B shares which I assume is the Trust's holding

There are no recent filings relating to control

The accounts are late in being filed and the charges are not shown as having been satisfied
