Popular Post Lukers1 Posted September 17, 2023 Popular Post Share Posted September 17, 2023 (edited) Morning lads and lasses, My wife works in London quite a bit and works as a children’s burns consultant. She got caught up on a rowdy train back to Manchester from Euston last night and felt a bit nervous. It can be overwhelming travelling on your own after being away from the family for nearly a week. She’s very quiet but out of luck found herself with some Latics fans who took her under their wing.Her business sponsors the club she puts up with my weekly cat kicking at 5pm on a Saturday. She came home last night and the first thing she said was that the fans are a credit to the club. Thanks to the lads for looking after her and sharing a beer with her. That’s the club I support, we are an amazing set of fans. Helen just wanted to pass her thanks onto you who helped her. Before I retired I used to regularly get a GWR train back late from London Paddington and the trains weren’t very busy at that time of night. It didn’t worry me, but if driver only trains get the go ahead and conductors/train managers get axed I can’t imagine lone females would feel as safe in some of the near empty carriages. The bus drivers aren't allowed to leave their cabs to sort out the low life who can't be sociable! It's not only at night - some school children have no idea just how loud and rude they are! A few days back I had to sort some low life out on the bus and I am 67!! Yes I know it's free for me but I like it to be safe!!
