hypothetical question

lets say for arguments sake that we dont go up this season....

that will be two seasons on the bounce that tta's have given shez money for new signings......and two seasons on the bounce we have blown our own chances and let the season fade away like a bad smell.

how much longer are........

1..the tta's prepared to put up with mediocraty season after season with no real progress by keeping faith with a manager who's ability is yet to be proved.

2..the fans prepared to put up with no real progress by someone who is arguably one of our greatest ever players, but sadly one of of our worst managers.

bear in mind now that planning permission is granted and all things in the future are rosey, surely they will want a winning team in a higher league to fullfill the prophecy they are setting up.

could you blame them if they gave up on shez and got a proven manager in???

Erm, last season shez was working on a reduced budget, certainly to start with. This season has seen plenty of players shipped out / gone - Wellens, Haining, Porter, Warne; all of whom will have been on decent contracts.

I don't think TTA have splashed so much cash on wages that they can expect to see us go up, and we've certainly not been shown up by any team, home or away, bar 1 match, so the plan isn't that far off the mark.

Is that the Neil Warnock who has achieved promotions with several clubs and took his last club from nowhere to the Premier League? And is 'doing a Dowie' at Palace right now? (Funny how so many proven managers can achieve something everywhere except BP.)

the same warnock who has also been relegated with a few clubs in his time, how long was he at sheff utd just over a season and a half or was he given time?

Who said anything about not giving the current manager time? All I noted was that Warnock was an experienced manager with a pretty succesful record. If we hadn't such an inept board while he was here, and (wait for it) given time, Warnock might have added us to his list of promotions. Or he might not. Instead we got a rookie manager in Ritchie (who did well under the worst of circumstances) because he was cheap and popular, and because the board had no idea how to halt the slide and attract investment. As a result the club became mired in the lower divisions, possibly for good.

I hope that the Fans & TTA will not give up on Shez.

Nothing has ever been achieved keep swapping and changing managers every other season is the answer. Managers need time to get a team together. We cannot go out and buy all the best players that we need so it has to be done gradually and pick up 2/3 a season. Getting rid of Shez is not the answer. Look at Everton as a good example it has taken Moyes 5 Years their to get a quality squad together. Manure, Arsenal & Birmingham (untill recently) are a excellent example as well.

Nothing has every been acheived by swapping and changing, it is about time we had a little stablity at the club after 10 Years of swapping and changing. Look at all the managers we've had:-

Ritchie

Wadsworth

Dowie

Shez/Eyres

Talbot

Moore

Shez

Thats 7 managers in 10 Years and we are still in this division.

Last season was un-expected and took everyone by surprise including Shez and TTA. On the back of that the fans were expecting us to achieve Automatic promotion this year and it hasn't happened (yet).

What would people think about bringing in a Experienced Coach as a Football Adviser to give Shez somebody with experience to bounce some ideas of.

After all Shez, Wright and Dux are all very inexperienced and IMO could do with a little help.

What's the plan? To win a home game? On the pitch I see no plan, just the usual 'win a couple, lose the next' stuff-the kind of inevitable inconsistency that is the hallmark of the mediocre teams of journeymen we've become used to over most of the last dozen seasons, and which has come to typify football at this level.

IMHO, anyone who thinks the 'budget' allocated this season was the sort that should go along with expectations of promotion is living in a dream world.

For me, Shez continues to do a good job.

No team that had only won twice at home by New Year ever got automatic promotion.

A few, however, had to fight relegation a few months later.

if you care to trawl back through the official site you will clearly see references from tta's and shez quite clearly stating that this seasons expectations were promotion, whether it be through the playoffs or automatic....that isnt fantasy that is plain hard fact....from the horses mouth.

like i said it was a hypothetical question, because i know sooner or later the question is going to start being banded about that shez isnt manager material.

the hard fact of the matter is that he has blown what money he was given on mediocre players that in most cases were not better than the players we already had.

how many home games have we won..2!!

people need to open there eyes and realise that there is something seriously wrong again in the dressing room and training pitch..just like last seaon.

if hughes is to continue scoring he needs a proper partner and a decent provider.

no matter what people may or maynot think of shez.s ability, tta's wont carry on backing someone who cant cut it.

You'll find that on at least 20/23 club websites. The other 3 are those that came up.

As for the plan - retain possession (60% yest), get more shots than the oppo (about 3-1 yest). Funny that we've had 6 wins and 5 draw, then we lose a game and we've got no plan, we're underachieving, shez is useless, the players are all clueless and inept, etc, etc, etc....

Says more about some fans than about shez or the team.

I feel the old cliché coming up " You're only as good as your last game".

We canty possibly judge shez until May! He has had to rebuild the team in the summer and its not quite there. We have january to add a face or two which could make all the difference.

Just finished an unbeaten run of 10 games and people are acting like we just lost the last 10....grow up and have a word with yourselfs...

Whoever said that was 'The Plan'?

If you don't think bottom third of the table is underachieving, fine-I suppose it all depends what your ambitions are.

PS: Shots that don't hit the back of the net don't win games.

So we we're unbeaten in ten. Big deal. We didn't win enough of them, and we'd be in dire trouble if we'd lost a few after the dismal start.

So your logic is...being unbeaten in ten isnt anything to be happy about ? and if we lost them we would be in the poo....no :censored: sherlock....but we didnt lose them, we drew or won them....

I think we have contender for dumbest post of the year right at the final whistle....

Does stating that we'd be in trouble if we hadn't gone unbeaten in ten sound like I'm unhappy about it?

The big deal is in the fact that the unbeaten run merely made up for the dire start to the season by the same bunch of underachievers. What do you want me to do? Celebrate like we've won the league? We're still near the bottom and it's their fault.

its a long season mate.... We have drawn alot of games which we should of won. We are a player or two off a decent side. Some faces will leave in Jan and some will arrive. Have some bloody patient and give shez time to get it right.... We went on a 10 game unbeaten run...that should give u some hope...but instead your moaning!

1. Well, you said there was no plan, and yet in almost every game we've had the bulk of the possession and the majority of the attempts at goal.

2. You can't count. We're 8 points off the play offs, 8 points from the bottom 4 and we've a game in hand on 9 of the clubs above us. This league doesn't have 30 clubs in it.

3. Your "ps" is really witty and pithy. Did you know that teams that don't shoot never win games?
