  1. No fan wants to lose their club and as a fan in general, no club to go out of business. How would this possibly affect promotion/relegation?
  2. PNE reported it, why not Oldham Athletic? Information on progress [or lack of it] at youth level should be available.
  3. I don't think he turned up uninvited, somehow...unless he's scouting.
  4. The Everton fans may be able to tell you.
  5. Not that it matters, but one of the two are telling porky pies.
  6. Not "snowflakes" just fucking desperate to see the back of the arrogant fraud who is currently draining the life out of the players and the club and I would be happy if this technicality got him out the door. Sadly, it's not going to happen and he will be here for the foreseeable future, even if relegation happens. It feels like the club is in some kind of stranglehold.
  7. As a manager, offering up consistently dire performances, he surely must know that shit from the fans is a given. As a professional, telling a paying customer to "fuck off" is unforgivable.
  8. Read Daniel's post he states he made his comment to Unsworth "politely". Btw, multiple emojis cut no ice with me.
  9. Technically, he didn't say he wanted them to win.
  10. And his fucking brand of shite, gutless football warranted the insults. Yes? If I told a client to "Fuck off" because he or she politely complained my efforts were fruitless, I would be sacked instantly. Football is no different. No complaint will be lodged but the whole thing elevates his total arrogance and his lack of respect for the fans. He's not going to go, certainly not of his own volition and this toxic relationship with the fans will only fester unless, by some miracle, he pulls off a string of wins and has a personality transplant.
  11. You should lodge an official complaint to the club and get some witness statements as well. Any leverage against Unsworth will be welcome as the man is taking the club down again with his fucking abysmal football and arrogance. I'm watching Altrincham vs Wrexham and the football currently being served up by Latics is embarrassing by comparison. Twat out.
  12. Decent crowd, shame about the result but maybe the new boys, two of whom were later substitutes, will take time to bed-in. Sounds like I'm a Scunny fan but not really, I can see parallels and would rather they stay in this league alongside us. I cannot see Scunthorpe challenging next season. Alongside us.
  13. The "doing well" bit is probably more about the club and manager selling the dream. I'm not sure if Unsworth has learned that particular black art just yet.
  14. Looks like a good bit of business for Alty and will, most probably, be the goal scorer to keep them in this league. Signed a winger on loan from 'dale too.
  15. New owner, new manager, new players. There will most likely be a 'bounce' of some kind and I would rather a southern based team go down than Scunny.
  16. Maybe Frank was stating the bleeding obvious in saying "Avoiding relegation". If that target is achieved this season, I think it will be a few seasons before promotion becomes feasible, with Unsworth at the helm. * * I forgot to add..if at all.
  17. They would have to be bloody good quality signings! Wrexham gave a team 2nd in the Championship a very good test and I would hazard a guess a neutral would not put three divisions between the two teams. Yes, I know, it's the F.A. Cup and all that 'raise your game' etc. No signings of that quality are going to sign for Latics. Not this season, at least.
  18. Some people need to grow up. And some people need to realise that Latics are in this division on footballing merit, along with the other teams. They don't have any given right to look down their noses at teams such as Aldershot.
  19. Because they are so similar in style and desire? Probably a Fondop/Abraham or Nuttall /Reid combo would produce better results. This is where Unsworth is falling down on another level of ineptitude, not bringing Abraham on was indicative of his desire to settle for a draw. I suppose, looking at it broadly, draws away from home are good if the home games produce enough wins, although it will likely never be enough to gain promotion.
  20. It is strange he didn't introduce Abraham into the fray, certainly he would have given Aldershot a fresh problem to deal with. Either of the front two could have gone off, I really do not think they are a working partnership. It wouldn't surprise me if Reid didn't even make the bench next weekend.
  21. Makes sense, let's see what happens when Reid is fit again but I don't think he will put the two on the bench together.
  22. Scunny drew but Gateshead, Maidenhead, York and Yeovil all won, effectively gaining on Latics.
  23. They don't play well together, too alike and both seemingly can't be arsed.
