  1. I think he's a decent player, but like Maher this season he has to be better than Allot to get into the team. That's not going to happen for either of them unless Allot gets a long term injury (fingers crossed).
  2. I think you will be amazed then! This club get well over 20,000 at home, it's still early in the season, and they are doing fairly well. They will probably bring over 2,000. I'm not sure about Huddersfield though, they have had a very poor start, and may not bring more than 1600, and they have also been given the large section.
  3. Why don't the people who want to stand, go to the back of the stand where they bare blocking no-ones view.
  4. Refs aere in charge, and can over rule anyone.
  5. MK Dons will be a threat. But when you're top they are all out to knock you off. I'd prefer to be in the top 3, well within range of the leader later on in the season. Keeps the pressure off, and we won't be as much of a target.
  6. What I have liked so far, is the fact that we are playing in the oppositions half, and pushing them back at the end of a game. Rather than dropping back trying to defend, which only gives teams more confidence to pile everyone forward and grab a late goal.
  7. All depends on how well the pitch drains. I don't recall them having problems in the past, so should be OK, unless we get an absolute downpour tomorrow lunchtime, which I don't think is forecast.
  8. I saw the Chelsea v Spurs game on MOD. Now these two sides are arch enemies, and Chelsea fans have a name for hooliganism. All that devided the fans, was one seat with a steward sat in it from front to back.
  9. Just as I backed him to be the divisions leading scorer this season. Each way of course, as long as he's in the top 4 I win, odds were 18/1 with Totesport.
  10. The fact that Taylor cannot be rested is a problem for me. He should get a rest tonight, but who would replace him?
  11. Pearson will get it. Leicester have the best record in August. We may have beaten Leeds, but they also had a good win on Sat.
  12. That's exactly what has happened. Instead of paying £28m which Spurs wanted. Utd have paid £30.75m, and Levy has agreed not to take any action.
  13. I don't think we can take Phillips on loan for the rest of the season now. Isn't it emergency loans only, which we don't qualify for, or am I wrong?
  14. I think City hold all the aces now. We are in a weak position because they no longer need the money and probably won't be interested in negotiation. Why should they just handover £1m, £2m or £3m for nothing? We are better off hanging on as he will probably agree to an extension to his contract, and in the next few years may fancy playing abroad.
  15. Actually it was a good crowd for Colchester. Last seasons average was under 3000.
  16. With Shez away on a course I can't see how he can give much time to speaking to players on the phone whilst giving full attention to the course. He may just be waiting for a reply from the offer the club has made. If the player agrees fine, if not no-one else will be approached.
  17. This cup can be a money spinner, and Shez should have gone all out to win the game with a full strength team, as far as possible. Shez got too clever tonight thinking he could use squad players and get a result at a Championship ground. There's a big difference in class. Draw a Prem team at home and there's a good chance of TV money.
  18. Obviously that's out of the question. How about approaching JD, or any other appropriate kind of shop, and asking for a small corner of their shop, to sell club merchandise and possibly tickets. It could be an advantage to them as they would get an increase in footfall through their shop, particularily if things pick up for the club. I understand that there could be problems with queues, but surely something could be agreed.
  19. Yes but all these clubs except Orient are in small towns. We have a catchment area of 250,000. They are not all unable to pay £20. Surely we should be able to get at least another 2000 of them to turn up. A town the size of Oldham should be attracting 10000 fans. Perhaps the club should employ a PR agency to try and come up with some ideas to attract people.
  20. Seems to me that everyone who has a complaint about the stewards, must either ring in or send emails to AH to complain bitterly about their behaviour. They have clearly been told by their boss to clamp down, and are overstepping the mark. I guess this is what happens when you get a few jumped up people with no kind of common sense. The blame has to lie with the chief steward, or manager. He should be dragged into the club to explain why so many complaints are being made. Many Premiership grounds have home and away fans sitting in the same stand, with just netting over a few seats. Never seems to be any trouble.
  21. He will have to wait for someone to get injured before making the squad. At the moment he is number three for me behind Hughes and Alessandra. In fact if Hughes gets injured I expect O'Grady to replace him.
  22. Could it be because he now has real competition for his place? He may also realise that it could be his last season, so he wants to go out with another promotion under his belt.
  23. Croftys a right winger! We still need Phillips and a left back. Hopefully we'll be able to offload JP, and send a couple of the lads out on loan to cover the cost.
  24. I really don't think that it would put many of them off. Other fans were lambasting us when we signed him, but had their club signed him, the reaction from our fans would have been the same as there's was, and there's would have been the same as ours (except Coventry). I am pretty sure that Walsall also offered him a deal when he came to us.
