  1. Southend refuse Gillingham permission to speak to Maher.
  2. TV replays didn't show any handball but the angle wasn't the best. Their player just assumed we'd been given a free kick and started walking away.
  3. We already look 100x better than Tuesday night. Edit... Right on cue
  4. He chased down more than anyone last night. He won fuck all granted and I'll concede that he's a bit of a smacked arse when it's not going his way but he's not the type of striker to be beating 6ft+ centre halves to a ball lumped forward, and that is literally ALL he had to feed off last night.
  5. I'd have both Fylde's wide players over any of ours based on nothing other than their performances last night.
  6. Thought it was a bit strange how the team came out in just their kits (no jackets etc.) for the usual kick off time of 7:45 last night. Seemed like a good 5/10 mins before Fylde came out. Could we literally have been caught 'cold'?
  7. It was just an absolute shit show. No other way to describe it really. Quite concerned that Mellon thought it'd be ok to start Norwood as the one man up front last night. I think the sending off probably stopped him from being able to change it at half time. If he's not having the ball played through to him then there's absolutely no point in playing Norwood as he offered absolutely nothing else. Radical I know, but I'd be tempted to play him in central midfield. He at least seems to have the ability to pass a football, more than the current lot do. I would have moved Shelton to RB and Sutton to CB if it was up to me. Hogan was a complete idiot and not something you would expect a captain to do. I don't know what Raglan has done, but he should be in the team and captaining it from now on. Both full backs were left far too exposed to Fylde's wingers who ran the game. At one point Hope tried to track their full back and was left for dead, it was an embarrassing non-contest and it left Kitching to sort both the LB and LW. The positives were: Friendly stewards and the quickest beer queue I think I've ever waited in, but that was about it.
  8. Hobson Shelton Sutton (I'd play raglan but I can't see it) Hobson Kitching Sheron (DM) Lundstram (cm) Gardner (cm) Norwood Fondop Reid
  9. I was saying to my stepdad that it looked rammed but more and more fans kept coming in with nowhere to go! There were a fair few stood at the top of the seating section too as there were no seats left.
  10. I absolutely and wholeheartedly apologise for selling you that ticket.
  11. We turned up thinking we'd steamroller them. The opposite happened, they hit us straight away and we couldn't handle it. One upfront Norwood didn't win a ball all night and just fucking moaned at everyone else. We desperately needed someone to hold it up. 3 in the middle but everything for them went wide for them and their wingers had the freedom of the park. Awful 'performance'
  12. That half was worse than anything under Unsworth, absolutely appalling.
  13. Christ no, we're not made of money (in my best will from Inbetweeners voice) Newton Hall
  14. Staying 10 mins down the road so I'm on the Stella before I set off in a taxi. Not only am I getting to watch latics tonight, I'm also getting out of the kids disco, so it's most definitely a double win!
  15. Genuinely think that if the match goes ahead, we'll win 5-0.* And I never think we'll win comfortably. *I'll fully take responsibility if we get dicked tomorrow now!
  16. Perhaps this should be in the National League thread but seen as though there was talk of him in here... Mike Williamson straight in at 1/6 for the MK Dons job after Graham Alexander sacked. Odd aren't usually that short when the book first opens!
