  1. Gross misconduct, multiple cases of gbh against staff and police officers (he actually bit the officers) and it took place at the hotel. They didn't conduct their own investigation, didn't get his side of the story in prison and didn't notify him until 6 months after the arrest that he was sacked. Basically they had good reason to sack him but didn't tick the right boxes to do so. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/11707382/Head-chef-sacked-while-in-prison-for-biting-police-officer-wins-11k-payout.html
  2. You do, a source is just someone else. Go and stand outside the club and speak to them, then they are your source at the club.
  3. I read this week that a chef who bit two officers and was sent down won a claim for unfair dismissal because his employer didn't get his side of the story first.
  4. I thought the 75% Tory claim looked dodgy. http://i100.independent.co.uk/article/someone-mocked-up-an-obviously-fake-glastonbury-poll-and-at-least-one-newspaper-fell-for-it--WJgIO1NxXGg
  5. Serves Harry right for being lazy!
  6. Yup and quite a few other years. In a post Hillsborough world (and also post Roskilde where 9 people died in 2000 following a crush) there probably was an argument to say that Eavis wasn't handling the security well and that it needed the involvement of a more organised festival operator. It has become gentrified to an extent but I think it was the only way for it to be sustainable. Though 75% tory, erm, nah!
  7. Well that and the fact they couldn't deal with the problem of gatecrashers peaking in 2002 with 250,000 people attending the festival where only 100,000 tickets were sold. Though only a minor point obviously.
  8. Maybe, but that needs to be balanced against what Sondico and SD are paying us to to be our shirt provider in the first place. Assuming we made £10 per shirt, if we sold 1000 more shirts, that would be £10k. Not particularly amazing.
  9. The club gets a better deal with Sondico/SD than Adidas presumably? Whereas Sondico/SD don't want to sponsor Halifax?
  10. You can, upboat another post of his and karma will be restored.
  11. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11716/9840418/jake-cassidy-fighting-for-his-future-whilst-firing-southend-into-league-one Some sensible comments from him here.
  12. Yes you are quite correct, I should have said they would need to account for 20% VAT inclusively from within the gross income received.
  13. Said the media about Koukash wanting the buy the club!!!
  14. Blast from the past. Was quite well thought of, was involved in the England set up as a teenager and I can remember him being involved in the Draw for the Euro '96 groupings as an up and coming player. Broke his wrist badly when he was 19 though and it ended his career.
  15. Of course if the issue is the individuals working for the sub-contractors are not getting paid, then it could be a sub-contractor with a cash flow problem that has nothing to do with the club I.e. If they have under quoted to win a contract, run out of dosh and have blamed the club for its own short comings. I wouldn't have a clue, but I do wonder why people feel the need to always share 'what they have heard' to kick the club without any decent evidence.
  16. Yeah they are separate. The SCMP was voted for by the clubs and last thing I heard, most were happy with it. UEFA are looking to bring it in line with the SCMP I.e. Allowing an owner to donate to the club without expectation that it will be repaid.
  17. Considering most people in Oldham don't support Oldham, I don't see how there could be an automatic link that someone associated with South Failsworth Primary could be an Oldham fan.... and i'm sure the woman is from Stretford.
  18. I have heard that once the stand is completed, SC is not going to fund the construction of the said stand any further. That may be the reason why the labourer is looking for alternative employment.
  19. As I understand, its more expensive at Spotland to stand in the end for a pensioner, than to sit in our bright new shiny stand.
  20. Actually if you split England into the North and South forgetting the Midlands as he has done, Meriden (near Coventry) is the centre apparently. This means that Stoke, WBA, Villa, Norwich and Leicester are all Northern.
  21. Good effort (ish) though not so much for anyone who started going away post-94. It's probably reasonable to say we won't be in the Premier league within the next 10 to 20 years.
  22. If doing the 92 with Latics only, can that actually be done? My cousin did it this season with Pompey and thats not after missing a game in 15 years or so (not even a trip to Donny the same day his son was born).
