  1. This is what I think is happening. Rotherham won’t have a clue what to work on in regards to our players. Wouldnt surprise me at all if they were all registered already. I’m sure we wouldn’t have committed to making signings knowing we would financially have to ship players out afterwards. What if no one wanted to loan any of them?
  2. The keeper is the last line of defence. There as a last resort in case the opposition get through the defence. No keeper on earth is going to save every shot. At the end of the day most 1v1’s are a guessing game, like penalties. As the game has grown and changed over the years, goalkeepers have become a lot more important to teams with the birth of ‘sweeper keepers’ and other unorthodox styles of keeper like JP himself. What he adds is great feet and an outlet for the defence to pass back to when under pressure. Also enabling us to play out quite literally from the back which is exactly what RW wants us to do. Suppose my main point is that very rarely is one individual to blame for a goal. Like Shez used to say...when we conceded, he’d look 2 or 3 moments back and there is always something that could have been done to prevent a goal.
  3. What has Phil Foden done that suggests otherwise? Had a good tournament for England under 17’s and you think he’d be our best player? If anyone’s a joker it’s you if you think he’d come here and rip up trees. The kid is far too small for lower league football. Personally I don’t think he’ll end up making it at City either but we’ll have to wait and see.
  4. One thing is for sure, that midfield isn’t the dominant midfield playing lovely triangulars that we saw early in RW’s reign. Either we’ve been found out or the tactics have changed.
  5. Course he’s the best footballer we have at the club. Who has said otherwise? He’s wonderful to watch and the way the ball just sticks to his feet is glorious. He knows it though and thinks he can do it all himself...which clearly he can’t.
  6. Dont be silly. He’s smaller than Byrne with probably half Byrne’s muscle mass. He’d get dealt with on a weekly basis against some of the seasoned pros in this division.
  7. Bring the drum. Start off chants/songs. Stop playing and allow the voices to be heard. If needed do a few beats to keep the tempo going. Then stop playing it again. Simple as. Some chants need the drum to get going and it can help...but 90% of the time the thing just drains any atmosphere. Most chants sound far better without it. I have no doubts the lad is a nice guy and I’m sure he’s reasonable but it sometimes comes across like he is just interested in being centre of attention and doesn’t have a clue how to actually play the thing. As a professional musician myself I am more than happy to give him some pointers that would keep him on the right road.
  8. Looking at Foden’s last run out for City, I’m not sure he’d be able to cope with the physicality. He was getting knocked off the ball left right and centre. Diaz however...that’s a player I’d love to see on loan here!
  9. Cant believe I’m saying this but like Baxter, I think Byrne is a luxury player at this level. He’s a beautiful footballer to watch on his day but as proven time and time again, you need fighters and grafters to get out of this division. Gardner and Fane are exactly the type of CM’s that will do that. It’s now down to Wellens to either get some wingers in or get the new lad firing on all cylinders in a midfield 3.
  10. Good to know. Personally he annoys me more than the drum does.
  11. Pretty much where I’m at. The little wankers have killed ‘Oh When The Blues’ which is unforgivable for a start. Then the little hard nut that gets his top off gets on my wick how he struts around the RRE all game like he runs the gaff...not even watching the bloody game. Aside from that I haven’t got an issue with them. ?
  12. Pointless hanging any hope on a return to us this season then as I said this morning. Lets get into the market for someone else and reassess his situation in the summer.
  13. If it’s as bad as Mike Keegan has suggested and he’s going to be out for a while, he’s no use to us. Who’s going to score our goals between now and March/April? Doyle has been fantastic for us and I would absolutely love him to come back on a permanent in the summer but we need to bring in a goal scorer very early in the window and get firing again.
  14. Some bad blood here or something? Or have you woke up on the wrong side of the bed?
  15. Going only off the YouTube clips posted, they look like completely different types of players so I wouldn’t expect McEleney to directly replace Byrne. More likely we’ll change our style a little.
  16. Can confirm that. Glad to see he’s already been integrated ready for January.
  17. ? oh we can dream! Do HMRC work on Christmas Eve?
  18. Can anyone find out what time Jack Byrne had his morning dump? Could be essential in us securing those 3pts today.
  19. Probably with Bristol City the way they’re going this season.
  20. Hopefully he’s gone back. Best for both parties. We don’t need any spoilt brats in this strong dressing room we have. Top and bottom of it is he has great pace but the level he thinks he’s at and the level he is realistically at are worlds apart. He’s got great pace but absolutely nothing else. I wont forget the goal Vs. Bastards and the badge patting but apart from that all I will remember is him being greedy and shanking 99.9% of his shots. Shame it hasn’t worked out and all the best to him but not for me in the slightest.
