  1. Yeah they will have higher expectations.... but why give a young manager a chance who has proven ability at bringing good young players through then get shot 6 months down the line, they've twitched, :censored: themselves and they deserve to go down now, City won't be sending any good young players that way now, the likes of Bunn etc.
  2. Thousands of scousers, with aerial missile throwing advantage on us, uh oh
  3. Also, and I doubt we'll sell the full 6,100 anyway but if we did, would there be scope to have the top tier opened up as well?
  4. Book the day off/half day call in sick have a full day in liverpool getting rat arsed, in fact with it being 8 oclock k.o theres more time to drink than it being 3pm sat so whats the problem?
  5. loads of coaches booked as well from various pubs etc and thats before anyone's got a ticket
  6. Really grates me this hardcore non-sense. I've been to 4 games this season..stopped going because you know what i've got a house to run, iv got a holiday to pay for...but they are my choices fair enough, but don't bleat at me that I can't go and enjoy a day out at Anfield or Wembley because i didnt go to Blyth Spartans with 6 others in 1957 and i'm not hardcore enough that i dint go to Scunny in Sept??? For the record I've been all over the country from Torquay to Daggers to Norwich to Carlisle watching Tics, and had a season ticket last year for the first time in 8 years but blow me skip i'm gonna enjoy Anfield without an ounce of worry what the super fans who don't miss a single second think. Now who's that up front Shmefqki Cookqi?? wheres Stuart Barlow now a days!!
  7. Absolutely delighted, I think my dislike for Man Sh1tty is getting greater and greater by the day with these smug mugs at work spouting off. "We are Man City, we score when we want" fair do's but it didnt get you to the next round, t055ers.
  8. I don't think so, Mancini Snr. knows all too well that you can't send someone on loan and expect them to play everygame, also he's only here to interpret anyway!
  9. That team we had out at Walsall and indeed that season was awful!!
  10. Just did a mock draw we were in C with Spain, Portugal and ROI
  11. This could be debated till the cows come home, it really is a difficult number to predict, a few years ago we'd have taken alot more than we would do this season although you know what woodwork are like, and we did take 5,500 to Everton. I'd say 10,000 is a reasonable guess!!
  12. was only having a bubble, but I still don't think they'll bring 3,000 for what many see as a tinpot cup (not me by the way, i'm fully behind trying to get to wembley) but all those years we've played them in the league, and they brought what a 1,000. i'll happily return after the game and eat humble pie if i'm worng, i'd be very impressed if they did bring that and it would go down well at Board Level.
  13. I wasn't comparing distances, I was comparing the size of the game in that region!!! Us drawing City (in Greater Manchester) is like Bradford drawing Sheff U (In Yaaarkshire) there's only one team bigger than Sheff U in Yorkshire, despite what the Hudds fans would have you believe and thats Leeds, who you'd compare to Man U for us. So you see, massive game for Bradford the other night, probably the biggest in their history, it's a bit of a come down now coming to BP, just like it would be us going to Hudds/PNE after beating City the round before, coz they are small fish to the games we have against City and United, do you remember the 90's??
  14. To put that in perspective....it's like us drawing City away, taking 1,200 (even though it's on't box) then drawing Hudds/PNE (or someone even sh1tter than that) in the semi and everyone expecting us to take 3,000 when in reality we'd take 500, so i think all of this talk of 3,000 for a Jpt Semi (quarter Final) is a bit over excitable!!
  15. And if Burton would have got a 2nd with Kuqi off, PD would have been slammed for taking our best player off and giving them the initiative, Matt Smith is what 4th, 5th best (choice) striker at the club, and quite frankly it should stay that way!!
  16. Obviously you were one of the chosen thousands (who most have now deserted the club) who saw a wee bit of success "Back in the day", for all the unfortunate buggers who have only seen us play Wycombe, Walsall, Southend and Yeovil, the idea of maybe getting to Wembley and having a bit of success for once is.... well,.... worth "jippin off over".!!!
  17. It would be a good time to play PNE coz theyre sh1t at the moment, they'll still have a shaky defence later on in the comp (Area Final) BUT will have Mellor and Hume firing them in, thats why they had good results at the start of the season. For me Bradford at home would be the ideal draw, am not having all this they beat Hudds and Sheff U so they'll be a tough nut to crack, both those teams didnt take it seriously and Bratford would have upped their game to beat their bigger local rivals, anyone that follows L2 level will know Bratford are cr@p and we'd beat them at a canter.
  18. Sound defo edited, it sounded like Barca had scored and 98,000 were celebrating when Kuqi scored.
  19. get your point but City brought over 4,500 the round before, Bolton, like Wigan have pathetic away followings.
  20. I don't think teams travel in such big numbers as they used to, look when we play Notlob in the FA Cup back in 05???? they only brought just over a 1,000. Teams like Birmingham, Derby, Coventry, Forest who you would expect to bring the 4,000 plusses, just wouldn't now, 2,000 probably, and with our home gates going up to 5,000 you'd be looking at that sort of attendance for our home matches i'd have thought. Obviously your Burnleys would bring a fair few, but i still don't think we'd get the home 'support' up. Away end fully holds 4,600 so that leaves around 6,000 home seats (7,600 if they gave us the small bit of Rocky), couldn't see us filling that. all ifs and buts anyway, but in a new stadium, that'd be a different proposition altogether. Can't find the average attendances for the seasons you mentioned.
  21. 6,876...but that was when the steam rolled up to the play-offs under Grayson. hypothetically, if we went up, what sort of attendances to you think we'd pull in, new stadium or not, i don't think we'd get into 5 figures, average wise!
  22. Burnley - (Pop.73,500) (Ave. Att. 10-11 14,931) Oldham - (Pop.103,544) (Ave Att. 10-11 4,392) Blackpool - (Pop.142,900) (Ave Att. 10-11 15,775) I know it's been done to death, but for a town the size of our's we should be getting far more people through the gate.
