  11. Welcome to Boundary Park and the best luck. Ignore 90% of the moaning it's how we do it here. A good appointment in my opinion.
  12. Deeply saddened by this news, his work at the club is forever woven into our history. A great man who gave us so many fond memories. Sincere condolences to his family and all those who new him well.
  13. So Corbyn's to face a leadership challenge 'in days'. Let me guess, on the same day that the Chilcot Report is released? Blair and his cohorts will stop at nothing to help deflect the tidal wave of criticism that is heading his way. How have we got to the point where British society as it currently operates is considered acceptable, It's fast coming to the point where the only hope I have is that history will look back in astonishment and contempt on these self- serving charlatans.
  14. Sadly I have to report that my wee ginger dog has ruled himself out of pre-season training as he was chasing a black bag blowing in the wind and ran into a barbed wired fence resulting in a gash to his side . He has had stiches and has to wear a lamp shade on his head for 3 weeks, he expects to be available for light training end July. This club is currently jinxed.
  15. I've got a wee ginger dog that has got fantastic close ball control. Needs some serious directional coaching as I've played along side him for 5 years now and I've no idea what he's going to do or where he'll end up. He once dribbled a ball into a Tesco car park and ended up in the car interior section of Halfords. He only stopped to have a piss on the seat cover display, he chose to pee on a cover designed specifically to stop your car seats getting covered in dog hairs which was ironic as he's short hired and rarely moults. He's not very good with obeying instructions either so he may require extra training. One Sunday morning a little girl was proudly admiring her new pink bike in the park, you know the ones with a little basket on the front. She had sat one of her soft toys in the basket, which unfortunately resembled one of my dogs toys. Well, he grabbed her precious 'kalou' and down the path he tear-arsed ignoring all my calls of 'come back here you little bastard'. Eventually I caught up with him, no sign of Kalou, he must have eaten it. So we've not been back to that park and have booked him into the vets to get his ears checked. He also fancies himself as a bit of a ladies man so I think he would fit in well with the lads. My next door neighbour breeds Corgi's and on 3 occasions now I've had to peel him off Mrs Spencers delicate little Maisey. Apparently she can get £200 for a pup, but each time my wee ginger dog's dug under the fence she can't even give them away. Anyway, if we're struggling for players I'm sure he'll play for a handful of biscuits and a pat on the head.
  16. So, let me get this straight... the leader of the opposition campaigned to stay but secretly wanted to leave, so his party held a non-binding vote to shame him into resigning so someone else could lead the campaign to ignore the result of the non-binding referendum which many people now think was just angry people trying to shame politicians into seeing they'd all done nothing to help them. Meanwhile, the man who campaigned to leave because he hoped losing would help him win the leadership of his party, accidentally won and ruined any chance of leading because the man who thought he couldn't lose, did - but resigned before actually doing the thing the vote had been about. The man who'd always thought he'd lead next, campaigned so badly that everyone thought he was lying when he said the economy would crash - and he was, but it did, but he's not resigned, but, like the man who lost and the man who won, also now can't become leader. Which means the woman who quietly campaigned to stay but always said she wanted to leave is likely to become leader instead. Which means she holds the same view as the leader of the opposition but for opposite reasons, but her party's view of this view is the opposite of the opposition's. And the opposition aren't yet opposing anything because the leader isn't listening to his party, who aren't listening to the country, who aren't listening to experts or possibly paying that much attention at all. However, none of their opponents actually want to be the one to do the thing that the vote was about, so there's not yet anything actually on the table to oppose anyway. And if no one ever does do the thing that most people asked them to do, it will be undemocratic and if anyone ever does do it, it will be awful. Clear?
  17. There were 92 votes for Leave this morning but now there are 93. Has a 2nd Referendum been announced, yeehhhh!!
  18. There is a lot of confusion around the 'exit agreement' which will take about 2 years after Article 50. This 'exit agreement' is really a divorce settlement about things like the rights of citizens that currently live and work in each other's country. The media have kidded us or didn't understand that the way we trade/work/engage with the EU in the future is something entirely different and will take many more years. What is almost certain is that by the time all these terms are agreed the UK will have conceded to the free movement of people if it wants access to the benefits of the single market. Internationally, we are better negotiating as part of the Eu than we are alone. When we negiociate trade deals we also offer access to other countries within the EU, outside of the EU we will have less to bargain with. Unless that is, during our EU negotiations we can retain these benefits but there will now be a price to pay. I believe the full impact of leaving the EU is still being understood as no one truely believed we we'd leave. Rest assured that the Tory government has a new excuse to impose further austerity on us, and judging by the state of Labour we will be stuck with it for 20 years
  19. ........ think of all the money we're saving not having to pay manager and players wages. We'll be quids in come August
  20. In the event of Philliskirk being named as Caretaker Manager, would the bookies payout?
  21. Stunned absolutely stunned. For those who remember the Thatcher years get ready. The austerity to hit all regions outwith the South East and marginal seats is going to be disastrous. All the EU Development funding currently directed to vulnerable areas is now in the hands of Westminster
  22. I would like England to vote Leave but for the rest of the U.K. Remain votes to give Remain the overall victory. Then the Tories will tear themselves apart and it will then be interesting to see if England demand Independence fro both UK and Europe. if everyone votes Remain it will simply be business as usual
  23. Following a model of high wages, high taxes, sharing wealth and social cohesion is not the model of the British Establishment. The British model will ensure that wealth and power remain in the hands of the few, and the rest are turned against each other so that the Establishment is never challenged Fantastic debate guys, however just shut-up and do what you're told
  24. Given that the polls show this could go either way, I find it very strange that Cameron & Osborne are not fighting for their political careers. It's as though they know the result will go their way. There were lots of 'rigging' claims in the Scottish Referendum, wouldn't put it past them. Vote Remain
  25. A close source informed me that the delay is due to Steve Evans having just told his Mrs that he lost the house on the Iceland v Portugal game, and that he doesn't yet have the heart or courage to tell her that they may be moving to Oldham
