  1. Definitely a gamble. In my opinion, a gamble worth taking.
  2. Thinking he did a piss poor job isn't self importance. Whatever XI turned out should have been good enough? That seems to lay no blame at his door and seems to be full of self importance "we were too good to go down" attitude. Collectively we deserved to go down. Whether people blame the players, the manager or a collection of both (as in my opinion is probably fair) - we have gone down and I'd have binned Wellens off for it... along with some players too.
  3. Close season is when you reevaluate & this is when you boot a manager out. The 2nd half of the season was dog awful. For me he should be down the road, but if he stays, give him.a faur crack at it.
  4. I'm a big fan of us signing players older than me... and he would be by 3 weeks. Get him signed.
  5. Jay Emmanuel-Thomas would do well in league 2, I'd take him
  6. Of course it was Corney... At least he still has his gold brick
  7. He made a big impact - I see why we are in talks with him.
  8. I saw Kean on saturday walking down sheepfoot lane, when he stopped talking to a fan, the fan went into the paddock & I asked him how Kean is. He said "he had started training" - any chance of him playing next week? "Doubt it".
  9. It was some whack, if its just that - he should be fine. If he did some damage - we could be seriously in the shit.
  10. Someone on NTFC messageboard is offering his ticket up to latics fans....
  11. My worry is Northampton. They dont have bad players, who sinve JFH left have improved when they were as good as down. Yesterday was a tense must win game, sounded like they played well & got caught on the break throwing men forward at the end. I worry that they'll play with freedom & be up for it. The could down tools, but I doubt it.
  12. If we were guaranteed promotion in 12 months time - relegation could well be a good thing, but we are not guaranteed it and I seriously don't want it.
  13. It does.... but can still be shit and put a shift in. I can put a shift in!
  14. & we play on saturday. If you are doing 1 - You'll do Saturday.
  15. The 900 are going to go, probably to season ticket holders. If we need to get a result - the 1400 would all go
  16. His stock has fallen and we don't know how much money and or ambition Abdullah has. We also don't know which division we will be in either. I think Simon Grayson is not out of the question if we stay up. He has pedigree at this level. I think it's going to be a foreigner next up regardless of money, division or ambition.
  17. Not quite true... Spurs didnt take their away ticket money from the game at spotland. That helped.
  18. If that's the case and I have no need to doubt it - it won't really matter who we put in. It will never be the manager's team.
  19. If we go down, he has to go. If we stay up - I would give him another crack at it. But - I think he is out regardless to be honest.
  20. If we win these 2 home games, Dale isnt half as important as that. In fact it becomes not too much of a game for us.
  21. I said after Wigan that the next 3 home games will define our season. If we get 7 points or more from them, (regardless of the Oxford result) we will be fine. I am sticking with that. Anything less will be squeaky bum time. 1 down - 3 points gained.
