I thought Gerrard had a bit of an off day today, by his standards, but to say he is a really poor footballer is a load of bollox. If he was a yard quicker, and a bit skinnier, he'd be playing in a much better team than ours. And what a :censored:ing goal by McGloughlin, take a bow son! It looked good live but seeing it again in the highlights, an absolute beauty. Special mention for their keeper who was so bad he was comical. And nowt wrong with Clarke's goal, he just wanted the ball more than everybody else, keeper's are far too protected these days.

Nothing particularly but he's definitely the weak link of the back 4. If Wilson's going to have to play at right back then we need a new left back asap.

Other than Ripley in goal, Clarke at centre half and Dummigan at right back, I wouldn't pay the rest in brass buttons. And whoever's put that they're worried about the keeper, unless they mean we have no back up if he gets injured, must be pissed.

Paul Rickers was my favourite Latics player back in the day, for that very reason! Still got the old white shirt with '7 RICKERS' on the back, although granted it's a bit snug these days...

If such a serious allegation has been made then it's only right that it gets investigated. I just don't see why they'd feel the need to give him a kicking after he'd been successfully subdued with a taser. Just can't see it myself. Surely, if he's got size 10 Magnum boot prints all over him it'll show up in the post mortem.

What a load of twaddle. That's like saying 'all football fans are hooligans.' I work very closely with the police and I don't know a single one that i'd call a bully or a coward. They're pulling their tripe out doing a thankless job that most of the general population wouldn't / couldn't do for what they're paid.

Doesn't always work out for players at certain clubs, might come good here. Just look at Adam Rooney for example. Quite possibly the worst striker I have ever seen pull on a Latics shirt, offered absolutely nothing. Leaves Latics and is a goal machine.
