  2. Dave Penny according to the Mirror.. Interesting if it is Robins didn't he have a big falling out with O'Grady when he left???
  3. 4 - 5 players we only have 7 under contract!! How many would you want to keep out of the likes of Maher, Gregan, Stam, JP, Wolf etc none I would go for.. We must have some good young lads coming through next season out of the youth.. MEN seems to thnk Gannon could be a fav for the job due to the stable financial setup in place also Hill, Simpson and Robins mentioned
  4. Everton & Villa eye £8m dynamic duo? 16:22 PM 27 April, 2009 Reports suggest that both Everton and Aston Villa have been watching Oldham Athletic pair Neal Eardley and Chris Taylor. Eardley is already a full Wales international and, despite being only 20 years of age, the defender has racked up well over 100 games for the Latics. Meanwhile, wide man Taylor (22) has had his most productive season in terms of goals and is also attracting a lot of attention. Villa were preparing a £6.7m bid for the duo, but Everton's interest has apparently pushed Oldham's asking price up to £8m.

  10. no point waste of funds we need to be looking at who to release/keep in the summer try and get a start on building for next. Give Lee, Lewi and Stephens a run we don't need any more loans
  11. A winger and a striker could well be next after Saturdays game what's Sheti Kuqi upto these days didnt Palace try to get rid of him? Had a cracking season under Royle at Ipswich I think Royle will be taking a close look at Smalley over the next week or so he does mention he likes his wingers and strikers..
  12. hmm not signed yet.. Royle's Latics patience Peter Spencer March 19, 2009 JOE Royle will give his new charges a chance to impress before hitting the transfer market ahead of next week's loan deadline. The new Oldham boss is likely to make only one change for Saturday's clash with fellow play-off contenders Tranmere - Shane Supple in goal. The Eire Under-21 international has joined from Ipswich and joined his new team-mates at training today after signing on loan until the end of the season. Royle is maintaining an interest in Cheltenham's all-action midfielder Ian Westlake, but will wait until after Saturday before deciding whether to pursue two other potential targets. He said: "The lads were terrific in training. I have had the reaction I expected, very positive and the attitude has been first class. "They deserve a chance and will get it on Saturday. I gave Shane his debut at Ipswich when he was 17. He's a great shot stopper. I won't know for sure whether the team needs strengthening until after the game." As revealed by M.E.N. Sport the Latics could soon have multi-millionaire John Wardle back involved. The founder of JD Sports was the shirt sponsor at Boundary Park before splashing out at City. He is is understood to be keen to get back into football. Chief executive Alan Hardy is relishing a near 9,000-gate for Big Joe's Return. "There is very definitely a buzz about the place," he said.
