  1. I think we deserve to be where we are. Poor decisions have been made and have cost us in the 1st part of the season. But there are signs that we are starting to head in the right direction. We just need to get this season over with and start again because the approach we have taken hasn't worked on so many levels.
  2. Probably not, but surley a better option to bring off the bench than Parker or Brooke?
  3. He hasn't really got a position which I think will count against him as he can't get any consistency in his game. decent at Wycombe, terrible at Hartlepool. Plus we have all heard of his attitude problems on the training ground which he also showed us, up in the north east.
  4. Fans unhappy with sub Dean Brill > Bobby Moore Furman's best game yet Goodwin opposite to Eardley
  5. I remember him being class at Bury. If he can still perform at that level then hopefully he will provide us with being able to use the wings as at the moment we have virtually no threat coming from that area with Taylor injured (or maybe not if you listen to some people), Smalley desperately out of form and Whittaker just not being good enough. It was evident last night that the only service to the front 2 mainly came from hoof balls or from Stephens who can pick a good pass out, but most teams tend to realise he is the only one capable of that.
  6. Orient Fans seem to think he had a bit of a falling out with the manager and lost his place in the team.
  7. I'll be staying up watchin it or at least trying to. It should be a great game I can't see past the Colts though.
  8. I think that is a great draw for us. Montenegro might suprise a few but not enough to worry us. Also a chance to put one of the other home nations out will do nicely.
  9. Brill, Gregan and Hazell were very solid and hardly troubled bar the double save from Brill so he got my vote for that.
  10. On current form he most certainly is worthy of his place. He wasn't terrible earlier on in the season in general he just couldn't line a wall up on a free kick but seems to have worked on that whilst he was out of the team. Itis nice to have Flahavan brought in to keep him on his toes as he looked good in his loan spell.
  11. I think they need to both improve their fitness and we will see a decent partnership. Not great today but the lads battled and thats all we ask of them. Hopefully get a decent result Tuesday and beat Walsall on saturday we might see a bit of a gap going into the run of fixtures agaist the top teams and still have games in hand.
  12. Agree with that. 12000 is all we need at the moment and if we do manage to get to the championship one day 16000 will be great. Also all these fans who point out that the club have said it is possible to add a 2nd tier but it will be expensive then I'll gladly point out the only time we will ever need a 2nd tier is if, by some miracle we do get to the prem, then it won't seem so expensive as we would pocket a nice £50 million and we could even add a 3rd tier just because we could, as we would have money pouring from our backsides and not have a clue what to do with it.
  13. Parma have Roman towers at the main entrance entering into the Ennio Tardini it is suppose to reflect the towns history in the Roman days. The name Parma has somthing to do with weapons they used to use and they have built the entrance in recognition of this. I take it you mean something along the same lines LL?
  14. Add Jimmy Clausen to that list. He has a fairly big arm and with the receivers they have he could be a perfect fit. Has a bit of an attitude problem, similar to that of Jay Cutler's 'the big I am' syndrome. He will probably go in the top ten of the draft so they would have to move up to get him.
  15. Looks like Ferdinhand is going to replace him. So were swapping a cheat for a drugs cheat. Not really the ideal replacement.
  16. Then he could have a word with his best mate Frank. We all know what the West Ham fans accuse him of being I think Avram may well of lost the most boring manager in the prem tag he seems to have gained.
  17. Good signing in my opinion. Not the out and out striker i was hoping for but with him in the team is should allow Abbott to be a centre forward rather than having to come short all the time and then we end up with no one up top.
  18. Must have some kind of bet on with Cashley to see who can do worse. Personally think Cole is still winning
  19. Don't worry i will do I don't mind if we have a go and lose but the last 14/15 games we really havn't helped ourselves in the majority of them. The wycombe game was the final straw for me and bar 45 minutes agaist Millwall I havn't seen anything to change my mind.
  20. Huddersfield - terrible weather granted but at least hudders tried to get the ball on the floor and play, all we did was hoof it. Gillingham - dirtiest performance I have seen from a Latics team in my time of watching never threatened them, we just tried to stop them playing. Colchester - terrible Vs 11 great Vs 10. Can't rely on teams going down to ten men. Walsall - no fight from the team. Once a goal down they all gave in apart from Gregan and JJ who were great in the centre of defence. Leeds - both the cup game and league too easy for them. Yes they probably would of won anyway but its not too mush to ask for the lads to have a go is it? My mate who is a Leeds fan said he has never seen a team who look so bad going forward in the 1st game untill we played them in the 2nd a few weeks later Norwich - went there and lied down. Unlike charlton where we gave our all Norwich never got out of 1st gear and could of slaughtered us if they wanted to. Exeter - did what was required but a better team could of easily of pulled it back when we went defensive after going 2-0 up. Wycombe - easily in control agaist 10 men until Penney wanted to hold on to what we had and then we got what we deserved for going 4-5-1 against a terrible team. Hartlepool - never in the game untill the last 7 mins when we scored. Again that was against ten men. Tranmere - was there even a meaningful effort on target for either team? Millwall - tried to pass it in the 1st half and with better finnishing could easily of taken the lead. 2nd half was back to the usual with long balls usually played to the ball boys in front of the chaddy.
  21. They were battering teams at the time and it seemed a fairly good approach to the game by Penney. Unfortunatly he has carried on with that approach ever since and its costing us dear.
