  1. I can throw rum down me no problem but that is something else definitly worth a go. Only problem is i have yet to find anywhere that imports it over here, I believe they do in spain however.
  2. But the lads were excellent and they took the game to Millwall. Looking from his point of view I suppose its another game out of the way.
  3. Yeh its not bad. Nothing will ever match up to Brugel though, Dominican Republics gift to the world.
  4. In my opinion there is a difference between match fitness and match sharpness. With the exception of Abbott and Taylor (and they have been training since before xmas) then there is no exuse for any player not to be match fit. They have been in the gym, swimming and doing whatever else they have been doing over the last few weeks whilst the weather has been bad. Match sharpness is another thing all together, and its not all about physical fitness. Its more about executing the basics, difficult and near impossible aspects of the game. Now i don't buy into the exuse that we were so poor as we hadn't been able to get much ball work done out on the pitch. I.m sure they had many 5/6/7 a side games which should keep you mentally sharp as you get nowhere near the time as you would in a full game, and whilst i'll admit it may be hard to work on set-pieces and things alike if they havn't got it by now then match sharpness is the least of our worries. But its hardly like they have been out of action for 6 months and wednesday was there 1st game back, its only 5 weeks since the weather kicked in and i'm sure they have been training everyday and had a couple of matches in that time aswell. For me its a very weak exuse and one from someone who is fighting for his job.
  5. Allegedly injured. He looked perfectly fine warming up at Hartlepool and when he came on, on wednesday. As for Goodwin he wasn't tested once by Tranmere so its impossible to say how well he did from a defensive point of view. But his distribution of the ball was terrible, he constantly picked out the ball boy at the front of the Chaddy. No better than what :censored: or Furman will give us so i would get him off the wage bill when his loan expires and use the wage for a posistion that we need help with so either a striker who will score goals or someone who will create goals.
  6. It did work my mate got a ticket not long after it 1st went up. Not seen it flash anyone for a long time though.
  7. I pray to god that they dont ban him. That would be a punnishment to whoever Utd play against during his ban! Infact the FA should make them play him for the next 3 games as the punnishment and transfer 2 weeks of his wages into the fans group who are trying to buy liverpool of the yanks
  8. Hopefully Danny Whittaker. More importantly will he be trusted 2 spend any of the O'Grady money by the tta if its available? or are we gonna get another batch of hudd's castoffs?
  9. No question about it. He has been superb since he came in against Norwich even though he is playing in a poor team.
  10. Yep i went watching Darlington against Rochdale a couple of years ago in the playoffs and they absolutly wiped them off the park and remember thinking that i wouldn't mind Penney as a manager if we ever get rid off Shez.
  11. I once beat Mark Tierney in a race of a lenght of the jjb pool. (although i was doing front crawl and he was doing breast stroke and i never actually told him we were having a race but there just minor stumbling blocks) Also the tramps full back tonight Shaleum Logan once stopped and talked to me and my mate who is a city fan, in malia on our way back from a night club in the middle of nowhere.
  12. You have to be. Bottom four after xmas playing terrible, negative Dave being happy with a point all the time. The shinning light is though we can get out of this mess.
  13. I cant understand what Penney thinks about when he is picking his team. He tries 2 wingers up front whilst having 2 strikers on the bench. He brings one of them on to play on the wing, then has a centre mid in Whitts who whilst is a very poor player anyway makes the lad look like a lost school kid on the left and then the right whilst playing a centre back at full back then swaps it to a centre mid there after Timar went off. Only Stephens in that team has the abillity to get the ball down and look for a man in a blue shirt the rest just lump it up and its easy pickings for the defenders. Not everything was bad tonight Stephens continues to develop and is becoming our main man, Pav tried and looked good despite blowing out of his arse for the last 20 mins and having no service into him again, and Jacobson had a good game probably my man of the match. The main problem is that the manager seems happy with a point no matter how bad the opposistion we play. Wycombe was a joke, Hartlepool was just S*** but tonight was the final straw for me. I've given the guy a chance but he really doesn't help himself with the way he sets his team out. After we had that goalmouth scramble with about 15 minutes to go we never tried to go for it and in the final stages only one team was going to win it and we all know it wasn't going to be us and they were very poor to put it mildly. Millwall is now a must win on sat they have only won one away from home i think but im not in the slightest confident about our chances. And 3000 home fans says it all.
  14. I read a report that Southampton were looking at him so if he has turned down Carlise then i would expect to see him end up there.
  15. I thought the majority of the time we were woeful until their lad got sent off. We were nice and pretty when we had the ball around the halfway line but we just didn't look like we had a hope of breaking them down. Lee f***** up for both goals he dived in for the 1st when all he had to do was stay on his feet and was slow to react for the 2nd as was Brill. The 2 wingers were terrible today they seemed to go hiding and were not looking for the ball. In fairness I think both of them are way out of their depth at this level but it is so easy to stop a team when they have no width. Its a shame that the manager keeps on playing the only fit winger we have up front who is being wasted up there. Not sure what Penney was doing with the subs I'm not sure he even did to be honest, Bringing on Blackman for Brooke, then Taylor for Smalley 2 mins later followed by Abbott for Colbeck. I dont think one of them had a clue what posistion they were supposed to be playing with Taylor starting up front only to move to the right a few minutes later then swapping with Blackman who is never a winger in a million years and then he finally ended up on the left. Positives today was the continued good form of Stephens who looks like he is going to be a great player the new cb looks decent enough and also i was suprised by the sharpness of both Taylor and Abbott after so long on the sidelines. Goodwin looked ok but i fail to see the desperate need for him as we have both Furman and :censored: who are as good if not better than him and we lack so much up top. Finally, I have to say I think we will just do enough to stay up but am not impressed at all by the manager. Fair enough he has had injuries but he really does not help himself with his decisions like only having 2 centrebacks at the club. surely de didnt expect the two to stay injury free all season and avoid suspension. Or by his continued negative tactics, yes we have missed out two best attacking players untill today but that doesn't mean we have to be so defensive all the time. I lost faith in him a couple of weeks ago at Wycombe, but untill they went down to ten today it was the same cr@p we have had to endure all season apart from the odd game, and we can't keep on relying on opposistion players to get themselves stupidly sent off before we start playing some decent tempo attacking football. And all this against yet another poor team.
  16. Spot on. Its great news that Pav and Taylor are gonna be back soon, as they are by far the best 2 goal threats we have but how long till there fully match fit? If its a month then were gonna be in feb and thats when the league table starts taking shape, it could be even longer and thats not including setbacks or anything. I've not given up hope of seeing Heffernan back probably towards the end of the month is when we might have a chance but until then were gonna be stuck with what we have got and that is not going to be good enough in my opinion, especially with the negative tactics we have seen over the last few games.

  18. Decent enough and if they had taken the chance they created from the corner midway through the 2nd half at 2-0 then i would of fancied them to maybe get something but there lack of finnishing (where have i heard that before!) made sure they wouldn't.
  19. I thought he did well today but Rochdale play a complete different style to us. It would be hard for him to get in the team when Abbott is back and hopefully we can get Heffernan for at least the rest of the season so he would be mainly used as a sub if that was to happen. I can't see him scoring anywhere near as many as those two or carrying over the form he is showing at the moment. Also today i think i realised how big the gap between the 2 leagues actually is and having watched 2 poor teams who were promoted from that league last season ( Exeter and Wycombe) in the last few weeks then it is no wonder why he is scoring as many as he is. Overall I wouldn't mind him back as i think he could be useful but if we get a good offer then i'd get rid. On another note Stanton looked good at the back for them as he has done the 3 or 4 times ive seen him over the last couple of years, wouldn't mind him here. Also plenty of Latics fans there today too seen 3 or 4 in the stand I was in and about 10 in the morcambe end who made themselves know once the 3rd went in!
  20. He most definitly is inconsistant last week he was poor yesterday he did ok. At times yesterday he beat his man with ease and put a couple of good crosses in, then the next minute he is on his arse trying to control a simple pass or kicking the ball out under no pressure at all. There is definitly something he can bring to the team and i dont think you can question his work rate but i would think if we actually manage to get Taylor, Purdie and Smalley fit at the same time then he will be, behind these players and most likely be used as an impact if we're trailing or brought on for someone who is tiring towards the end of a game/ time wasting substitute.
  21. Which is why i pointed out the fact that changing 4-5-1 against a 10 man team who were woeful up until that as being negative. Would you not agree? I don't really recall them troubling us after we went 2-1 up untill we changed formation, so i would of thought we were more likely to get a 3rd (yes it did seem only a matter of time before we might get 3 goal in a game! ) than them scoring if we would of carried on. Hopefully Penney will learn from his mistake and we will go on to beat the trannies on Saturday.
  22. I would argue that 99% of teams would of been at least 2-1 up in our situation this afternoon. I really fail to see what his thinking was when he decided to go negative after the change. whether he didnt have the belief that we could get a 3rd and kill the game off i don't know but it was terrible to watch.
  23. Penneys negative mindset most definitly cost us 2 points today. We were battering them and although we blew 5 or 6 great chances we never looked in trouble. Then he took Colbeck off which i agreed with, but instead of carrying on in the same manner we sat back and allowed them to control the remainder off the match And then Whittaker who was having a good game by his standards lets us down again by just sticking a leg out and giving the ref the 2nd easiest decision off the match (the easiest being the red card) But to go 4-5-1 against a terrible Wycombe down to ten men was an absolute joke in my opinion and everyone else's around me aswell. One positive for me though was the partnership of Furman and stephens who had another good game. There is no doubt in my mind the blame lies with the manager for this.
