  1. I was told by somebody that asked Mr. Blitz that very question that he doesn’t... things could change though I suppose
  2. Or another way to look at it would be to take over the finishing off of the North Stand because it went way over budget. Surely they’re entitled to try and recoup that money?
  3. I wish Byrne was still here so he could put Branger-Engone out for a few months
  4. I know he’s another inexperienced manager and all that, but if the funds are available, I reckon we could over time get one or two decent signings out of this. I’m sure playing for Paul Scholes will be a draw to a good few players.
  5. The Donny fans I spoke to were impressed with Sylla, make of that what you will.
  6. It’s been suggested to me by someone that deals with the club that the new owner is also a crook. Rock and a hard place.
  7. Someone with a Doncaster postcode could make a tidy sum here (Assuming you don’t need ticket buying history from them).
  8. On Twitter it says the 3000 have now been sold and we are getting another 800
  9. Vera’s going to get at least 6, so double figures won’t be a problem
  10. Just seen the starting line up, 6 overseas players in it, surely a record for a Latics first 11??
  11. Not a good one for the day tripper type as it’s quite a way out of town isn’t it? Only been once and that was in the car, and it seemed a way out of town in an industrial area
  12. Agreed. Also we talk often on here about the atmosphere at home games, I can’t help thinking people used to have a few pints in the Clayton Arms pre-match which helped make people more inclined to sing Nothing to back this up with, but I think with the closing of that place people just rock up to BP from home largely sober. It certainly isn’t mobility friendly. I was chatting away to my mates about Fulham arrangements, but I do recall seeing Jeff Stelling in a screen, not sure if the actual game was televised though.
  13. I went in there before the last game and I’d say there were only 50-60 present and nobody was being turned away, so you could say we don’t need a bigger space... but then I remember how busy the Clayton Arms used to get on a match day
  14. We have been told all profits from matchday revenue go to the football club. I’m making an assumption this is the case. But that’s type of risk is the case with any new business isn’t it? I suppose it comes down to how quickly AL would want to see an ROI I suppose. But we still have a 20 years lease on the ground, so surely a profit would have been turned long before that expires?
  15. Absolutely this! The club would profit from sales of food/beer minus any rent paid to OEC.
  16. I don’t think there are stairs are there? (On reflection I guess there must be for fire regulations!)
  17. I think there’s only one though and it could be an issue getting a couple of hundred people out at 2:55. Poor planning when the designs were being drawn up if you ask me.
  18. I don’t think people’s criticism of The Trust has been around the dedication of those involved, it’s been more of a frustration around it’s seeming powerlessness and also the lack of information that comes out of it
  19. I’d take 11 players to the same “bang average” standard as Carrick at Latics any day of the week
  20. Simon Wood hasn’t gone anywhere, he’s never worked for OAFC, Simon and his team work for the OEC. If you dine in the North Stand it will be from a menu designed by him and cooked by his team (or on occasion by Simon). All the best to Sam, our media content has been absolutely top notch during his tenure
