    I accept he didn’t look fit, but way out of his depth in League 1. I guess we’ll never know if he could have been an asset in League 2, but if we’ve got £50K for him I’ll take that all day long! Based on his performances we won’t miss him one bit

    It just goes to show how Brassbank thought they could fleece the NHS with that rental charge, I guess someone in the NHS Estates department realised the ridiculous cost and backed out.

    Statistics show we have appointed a new manager every 5 months in the last 3 years. So those unhappy with Bunn will have another appointment to be unhappy over in November. keep this thread open!

    That space will never be rented out for £75K a year!!! On another note, I thought in the original plan for the stand, the very top floor was suppose to be the supporters bar. Maybe I’m mistaken.

    Bunn would walk into any Latics side we’ve had since he left us. He was always the perfect fall for the likes of Ritchie, Palmer etc. along side him, and he always chipped in with a few goals. I would say he was a crucial signing that facilitated the glory years that followed, certainly right up there with Royle’s best ones. No idea how he will work out as a manager, but surely his playing credentials for us aren’t in question!

    Player contracts usually run until the end of June. This means that even though we have released players we will still be paying them until the end of June. This will also apply to Jose Baxter who will have agreed “in principle” to join us when his contract expires at Everton.

    Even if he’s a billionaire it doesn’t mean he’ll be prepared to spend all or a lot of it on Latics, he’s not a lifelong fan after all. I think the posters on here that were expecting us to be a lower league Man City are going to be very disappointed.

    Really hope he ends up back with us but I think there will be teams higher up the football pyramid wanting him. We are going to have this problem when recruiting this season I fear.

    I found a positive... I’ll have seen Latics play in all 4 divisions, at Wembley and away in Europe (away to Genoa in the Anglo-Italian Cup)

    We actually have them! They were donated by GMP and have been made into a lighting rig that helps maintain the bit in the penalty areas that the keepers wear out.

    It wasn’t brilliant I agree, but a few more world class players in it than this one in Gerrard, Lampard and Rooney.

    Actually hope Tranmere come upmtoday just so we have another local game. They brought more fans to BP than the poor support of Bury and Rochdale as well.
