We can see the fans expectations by the drop in ST sales. Mine are for us to be mid to bottom of the table, flirting with relegation for most of the season. I can also see a scenario where Marco does a midnight flit and we end up in administration and get relegated. I’ll begrudgingly take my first expectation as the preferred outcome at this stage. I have no plans to visit BP next season, my support for Latics will be away days only.

I hope a replacement can be appointed quickly, the Trust has real momentum at the moment and it needs capitalising on. Also I feel a Trust figurehead is required during negotiations over the purchase from Brassbank.

The club and the owner in particular have dodged a bullet here with this weather, I can’t see any form of protest being up to much in a Tuesday night. The boycott will go well though.

Ive said for a good while now that we seem to start every season with a virtually new team and in some cases a new manager. It then takes a few months for things to gel, we start to get going, then we have a poor transfer window and a shit pitch in January and we are back to square one. We really need to start to build now for next season, keep a nucleas of a squad, get rid of the chaff and have a clear set of targets for the summer, and FFS spend some money on the pitch! As Barry Blatter might say “let’s start to do things properly around here,” then we might have half a chance.
