I kept waiting for a foul to be given......... it felt like ages until I could believe the goal stood. Not that I thought there was a foul, just couldn't believe it! Good refereeing to be fair, how many times have you seen a foul given in crowded box in those situtations - 21 players in the box and there is bound to be contact somewhere. Not to mention Bouzy trying to catch the ball.

Yeah, Iwelumo is either not trying, or is in absolutely no form. We all know he is slower than a sloth after xmas dinner, but he wasn't even physical today. When Matt came on for him, we were a different team. That is really saying something - a player, who a lot of people on here said is not good enough for league football, showing you how it's done. Smith has to start ahead of him as soon as he is fit enough. Pure and simple. I thought Barnard was good, harried their defenders all game and tracked back. It's not all about scoring, as long as someone scores!

Absolutely awesome display from PD, not many "sacked" managers would even go to watch their old team - let alone be celebrating as much as anyone in the ground when we equalised. Shows he really cares about the players here. That is why the fans still chant his name I guess - top bloke.

Matchday chat is a bugger for me to do now the time difference is 11 hours to sunny old Oldham, but I do try every Saturday/Sunday. It would be even harder for you guys in NZ. About once a year we get a match shown on Setanta Australia, and ESPN are showing the FA Cup, so the boys have to keep progressing in that comp <!-- Start of dream --> and hopefully we will get televised when we beat the red scum in the semi this time! Win the final, and we're in Europe next season. Easy, so easy. I did it in Fifa 13 - without Baxter, so I think that more than qualifies me to have a go when PD moves on.<!-- End of dream --> I would be willing to be a member of LANZAC, as long as the initiation is not too bad! :censored: I don't know exactly what we can do as a group, but........ count me in!

Really, it is just not good enough. Personally I would pay ten times the price to have a higher quality output. Maybe the club just think that it is not important enough to put resources into, and the supporters should come to the game. But it is not possible for some of us to come to games. As others have said, it is not just a disaster because the fans couldn't hear the Oldham commentators, but because we had to switch to the Notts commentary and were shown how it should be done. I realise that the Notts feed was from the Beeb, but we could actually hear the fans and the atmosphere in the ground. Our fans actually sounded good to me for the first time since I was there! Is it the broadcasting equipment that is lacking? I don't want to critisise Roy, Gordon and Mike too much as I know they are not pros, but they all commentate like it is on TV. When it is on radio, you have to get the facts out first before the colour. So many times we have Roy and Gordon/Mike talking about the bad decison or saying "well I can't belive that" etc, which is fine, but we still don't know what decision has been made. You have to do play by play, then colour after we know what has happened. Believe it or not, I love the bias from Roy. It shows the passion of a lifelong fan, and I am sure I would be exactly the same doing the same job. I just think we need a better play by play coverage. I think that Gordon and Mike can both do that if they have that in their minds - as I said, I don't want to critisise the guys too much. I would critisie the decison to have TERRIBLE quality feeds coming out. This season the quality has gotten much worse, either dropouts every 5-10 mins, or just a total loss of coverage. I can't believe there is noone at the ground listening to the output - why not? How can anything be broadcast and not be checked? I understand that mistakes are made, and whatever the problem that occured is not my issue, it is that it wasn't picked up at all. Really, if it wasn't Oldham my money was going to, I would have demanded a refund by now.

Woah! This is the first time I have looked at the new site, cos I pretty much always only go on OWTB. I only use the fishial for Latics Player during live games. I have been reading this thread, thinking a lot of people would be overreacting, but.......... nope. Just nope. If I had developed that website, I would be sacked. My favourite part is the twitter feed saying that they know there is broken links on the website etc, then the link contained in the tweet goes to a broken facebook link. Just genius. There must be some sort of comeback against Perform Group for this surely (if they are responsible for this crap). I just looked at the Rochdale website too, and it is almost as bad. Surely if it is a template driven CMS designed to be updated by people with no coding knowledge, then the initial template and design should be done by the developers. To me it looks like Perform Group have just uploaded the CMS onto their server for all clubs and left the club staff to organise the layout. Bad bad move. I don't know who is to blame, Perform Group for not doing their job or the Latics for not employing a professional web developer. It depends on what the agreement between the club and Perform is really. Edit: I just looked at the Blackpool website, and it is the same as ours. Seems like it is a Perform problem.

Just heard from an Australian ex latic that we have had an offer from Preston. Don't know whether to believe him or not with all the Preston rumours flying around.

It's not about history for me, it is purely a financial problem I have with it. There are better things we should have been spending our money on. The design is lazy and very generic looking. If our badge needed changing, and we had nothing else to spend our money on, pay a professional to create a bespoke design. The amount of money this would have cost the club in lost merchandise sales (reduced prices for items with old badge) and rebranding is being underestimated by many fans. It was just unnecessary, and we end up with a photoshop template badge.
