  1. This would never have happened in the good old days.
  2. I would have loved to see him knuckle down and play. He’s a rare talent. Sadly, he didn’t want to play for us and consequently wouldn’t have an influence on where we finish.
  3. How about refusing to train? Disrespecting the new manager and his staff? Breaking Fane’s leg? Breaking the Club’s social media policy. That’s just at Oldham. Plenty of evidence that he was a bad influence at Blackburn and Wigan too. Not his fault though is it Ryan? Winner my arse.
  4. You really don’t get it do you? It’s Byrne who wants away. Check his history. Open your eyes man!
  5. Spot on. He didn’t want to play in League Two. Now he has no choice. Hopefully he accepts his fate and stops withdrawing his labour. The vast majority would love to see him playing for Latics again. Fans, manager and owner. The ball is in your court Jack.
  6. It is good news. Hopefully we will hear nothing until the transfer window shuts. Then Jack can pick up his toys and realise he has no choice other than to honour his contract with OAFC. Perhaps you and the other lemmings will decide not to jump off the cliff top when that happens?
  7. The road is pretty clear. The transfer window closing will mean that Byrne will need to come to terms with the fact that he either plays in League Two or doesn’t play at all. If he’s still here, maybe he will apologise, train hard, re-integrate with OAFC management and players and go on to make a difference to the first team. It’s the best way of putting himself in the shop window and perhaps he will get what he wants in January. He has brought all this on himself through his petulant antics here and at other clubs. I can’t understand why people think that everybody else is the problem here, not Saint Jack Billy Big Bollocks who wants away because he thinks that he is too good for the fourth division.
  8. Again you are right. As long as it isn’t repayable. I think the point here though in his statement is the fact he’s had to stump up more money than expected paying creditors that weren’t declared by the previous regime. Personally, the jury is out for me regarding AL. He does some strange things. But, maybe, just maybe, once the swamp is drained, he will invest more capital.
  9. You are right but the Salary Cost Management Protocol exists (as you know I’m sure) and is very similar to FFP. There are clues in the words in case you don’t think it affects the player budget.
  10. He only saved one of their three shots on target according to the statistical facts.
  11. Do you honestly believe that football managers tell the truth in pre-match press conferences? Wellens told lie after lie about injuries etc. and quite right too. Why give anything away to the opposition?
  12. You’re trying too hard and it’s looking a bit too obvious. Leave it to the professional trolls like Ryan and Kusunga.
  13. Yep. Tommy was £80k. Linighan cost us £55k. Latics should have erected a statue of Billy Bremner rather than Dirty Leeds.
  14. Jokers to the right, here I am....... Anyway. Great to see Alan Hardy looking so fit and well. New Chief Exec? Could be the best signing AL would ever make in my opinion.
  15. Anyone doubting that Frankie is a Latics legend is clearly ignoring the ultimate accolade when he was honoured and recognised with an OWTB Legends Series T-shirt, “Six of the Best”. Think we may even have broken even with that one! You can shove your golden bricks up your arse!!!
  16. Good that someone has some facts Spill the beans K! Don't forget the proof
  17. Absolutely spot on! My kids are telling me that I have drunk too much wine but I couldn't agree more! (off to bed now though). Too many problems for now, Trust "The Trust" and see what transpires. The rest is emotional bolllocks!!!. Disagree? Tell your Trust rep !!!
  18. Totally agree Worcester! Lots of recriminations tonight but tomorrow is another day! Not sure I will forget immediately but the future is bright especially with Edmundmunson., Hamer and a few others
  19. It's a really good point although BB80 will be livid! Sadly, despite all the great deflection from Wellens' press conferences (and I have loved that about injuries etc.), how anyone can trust a word that he says (including the Sun article) is beyond me.
  20. Like I say, read the facts in the public domain. Let me know if you want me to draw you pictures.
  21. I don't know. I'd guess it's a hell of a lot though. Probably a lot less than his mates but I guess would be into the millions. Pretty easy when you read facts in the public domain rather than emotional bollocks.
