    ....now there’s a new thread in the waiting.... favourite stands you’ve stood/sat in.... other than the Chaddy End & Lookers Stand, I liked the Platt Lane at Citeh & the North Bank at Wolves - right next to the home fans.

    Agree with your Byrne comment..... but I hope you’re wrong with Gardner.... he’s no winger for me. I’d prefer to see Gevaro and McLaughlin on the wings.... without Doyle, if we’re relying on Davies, Holloway or Duffus to score goals, we need the put the ball in the box. I like Gardner, I think on the whole he’s been good, but thought he was poor (for his recent standards) on Sat’day so maybe time for him to benched for a bit.

    Does a championship team chasing promotion consider loaning out their 3rd choice striker? 4th, 5th maybe.... but you’d assume they’d have to make some signings first? Also, I can’t see Colin being keen to help us out.....

    It will always be our home end to me.... the place I stood with my dad in 1986 and fell in love with the place.... so yes. I’d love him to knock it down and build a safe standing terrace with a bar and a cantaliver roof that blocks all natural sunlight from the houses on the site of the old staff/players Car Park and Clayton Arms too, rendering them less saleable for the Mo fo’s in the U.S. of A.

    I don’t think you can play Gerrard & Clarke together unless your team is set up to sit deep and hit teams on the counter with pace....

    ....our ball retention (under Wellens) is as good as at any time since Johnson was manager. ....most games under Sheridan (this season), Rotherham Away particularly, we’re worse.

    I wish we’d cross the ball from wide positions more.... gevaro aside, everyone checks and comes back inside. Often crying out for a ball across the box for strikers to attack....! We pass it beautifully, but it’s often in front of the oppositions back 4 and largely ineffective.
