  1. yes but now the infamous digital switchover has happened, people should have got the extra channels... but i agree, they had a 3-3 draw in the first tie so why not the regualr channel?
  2. i see that rochdale will be on ITV4 tonight in their cup replay vs luton and as latics are out, i may as well support them. but who will other people be looking out for? there will probably be alot of new northwich followers but anyone else?
  3. interesting. but i hope they sort their differences out soon becuase seeing those pictures of BP, it really shows that we need to move away
  4. maybe DP should try taylor in a free role up front. he played in that position away at carlisle last season and looked fairly threatening
  5. i wouldnt guarantee it becuase we havent got any special right to be in this league. i dont think we will go down though becuase there are more than four worse teams in the division IMO.
  6. totally outplayed charlton and deserved their win i see we would have been drawn away at kettering
  7. i wouldnt buy players becuase of one game but northwich are playing really well and i wouldnt be surprised if they come away with something
  8. wasnt taylor played in a free role up front at carlisle? he looked very dangerous there and i wouldnt mind seeing some more of that. also, somebody said about a killer ball midfielder. i was watching the FA Cup highlights last night and steve jones for crewe really stood out. granted, they were playing against inferior opposition (if they exist in the fa cup) but he scored a cracker and looked dangerous. worth a look?
  9. i agree but i think with a bit of backing, colbeck could become an average league one player. he seems like a confidence player and maybe a loan spell or something could see him improve. like it or not, we're stuck with him so we may as well get behind him becuase one player will turn to a team and nobody would want to play for the club
  10. its better than all of these negative threads on here.
  11. Firstly, i wasnt at the game last night so am only going off the reaction on here but it sounds like we are a team that is 70-80% of the way to a good team. there are obviously going to be negatives like the lack of goals or amount of injuries but i think that with maybe one inspired signing or one win that we dont necesarily deserve, we could go on a decent run and boost confidence. if we stick with DP, i think we will do ok next season. we wont get promotion or relegation and we have no cups to focus on so lets focus on getting as high up the league as possible and take as many positives out of the season so next year we can be a real threat.
  12. good news. he gives us some bite in midfield and with a decent striker, it could bring out the best in him
  13. lets hope its positive, we need a better ground fairly soon
  14. Just wondering what us latics fans think the score will be this evening. i predicted 3-0 vs huddersfield last sunday so i will play safe and go for 2-1 to the better team.
  15. does anyone knowif its going to be on BBC radio Manchester or anywhere cos im out and cant see it but i could listen to it. also, can it be viewed after the game?
  16. same happened to me but i was only the couple of hours old so ill have to take my dads word for it. and latics won the following saturday.
  17. agree and you never know, this signing might make brill buck his ideas up...
  18. these both sound like great signings and if flahaven does well in his month, i can see us getting him permanently. not sure about hill though, if hes highly rated he sould only be a loanee. hope he is as good as sheehan. and to the persopn that said brill had a good record or something, wasnt he their first choice keeper when they had three successive relegations?
  19. i agree but i think a short term loan deal for a abbott like striker and then dagnall to feed off those flick ons would be better. or get ogrady back for the beginning of jan, pav has his op, see if cog does a decent job, if he does, keep him, if he doesnt get dagnall. but im not sure if it works like that
  20. fair play to huddersfield. it was a firly even game possesion wise (before the goal) and you took your chances. i wouldnt judge a promotion team on a game of that conditions becuase the tactics go out of the window and the team that does better with their set pieces wins. huddersfield looked like they could be dangerous but they hardly troubled a generally inconsistent defence. as for the penalty appeal, ive seen them given. i think it would have been harsh to give but his arm was up there and you see those decisions go against you.
  21. dagnall is getting lots of goals at league two level and i think he would be a very good striker for league one. give him some service (like abbotts flick ons) and a player with the pace he does will get alot of goals. if we do get him though, dale would suffer. they always seem to sell their best players when they get good. rickie lambert, grant holt, glenn murray, adam le fondre are just a few
  22. Im not normally one to complain but for 57 minutes, we matched huddersfield. then we gave up. we gave them a goal and then decided to let them have the win. one shot on target and nobody imparticular had a good game. this needs sorting out becuase the extra fans that made the journey to come today wont bother anymore and we will end up in this league for years. a clear out and a couple new faces in january please
  23. i think if we had had :censored: playing instead of whitaker we could have won that.
  24. i thought we signed him as an attacking midfielder. instead we have him doing a pretty good job holding the midfield and whitaker as our 'attacking' midfielder
