  1. Tangerine dream why do you prefer non league football if you don't mind me asking? It's something I am keen to enjoy and experience more when back in the UK!
  2. The trust is a weird one. In principle what they say is correct the avenues are in place for people to change it and challenge Barry etc. However in reality, as a supposed representative of the fans they really should acknowledge their shortcomings and admit they are doing very little to represent and liaise with the fans and that it is time for a rethink to get everyone working together.
  3. If three points off the top is crap, what are we?!
  4. I agree, when you look a the players Shez had at his disposal towards the end he had very little faith in some very good players for this level. As for Royle coming in I think it was a massive gamble which completely and utterly failed and if it had been anyone else but Royle the fans would have been going absolutely mental about the appointment.
  5. Prepared to get shot down here, but I actually don't think we do too badly in terms of getting money for our youth players. IMO if in recent-ish years criticism would be better aimed at managers who have bought in talented players and not got the best out of them. Too many players moved on for free or nominal fees and then carved out good careers.
  6. Sounds like they are putting the infrastructure in place and not just signing players. I would think there is plenty of potential new fans too. Might go tits up but wouldn't be surprised to see them establish in the championship.
  7. Why not just pull out the league and have matches between two Oldham teams then... ;)
  8. He's definitely a board member and not a fans representative. Of course he can't tell us everything but any slight against how the club is being run and he goes on the defensive.
  9. Unless we get Simpson back or over 1 million plus add ons that's it for me I'm going to support Man City. Now there's a club that does things properly when will SC wake up to how easy it is to run a successful football club!
  10. So despite all the moaning about loan players in other threads only 4 players are on loan. One being a season long keeper and another from non league that could no doubt turn into a permanent deal. The other two are also experienced professionals. Oh and if tarky comes back that's 5 but it's not like he doesn't know the place. Too many loan players is another bollocks argument when you actually look at the situation.
  11. So many drama queens in here ffs he's good but nowhere near as good as some of the other players we have had over the years even at this level. Give me clint hill and fitz hall and gregan any day over tarky. Until we get some investment and have to finance our new stand expect this to keep happening to our best players so you should get used to it. Life goes on!
  12. In all seriousness though, dont you think it seems more like a view to a permanent move going off the OS article?
  13. Can someone help me out here, need a good reason to slag off the club and LJ for making this signing,,,
  14. Whoever edited that didnt want people to see much of the game (was it a Posh fan? ;) )
  15. Maybe not for you but for some of the younger fans it could be... I'm sure this is the type of gane that would get people coming back for more!
  16. Something that had been severely lacking in recent seasons let's hope they can continue scoring!
  17. But what if these foundations lead to a future where we can put the ball in the net vet often?
  18. I came into this thread expecting extreme over reactions and have not been disappointed. To me all this spells out is that corney is going give LJ a chance even if we get relegated, so those of you getting your knickers in a twist could be in for a rough few years!! Personally I'm sick and tired of chopping and changing managers. I was happy that Dickov was given time to try and build something, even if it didn't work out and will be happy that LJ is given the same. I don't think LJ is the messiah but he has obviously done something to impress even if it is just cheap wages! To those getting so angry about this what is the preferred alternative? We sack LJ in a couple of months if we don't improve. New guy comes in keeps us up by a few points, brings in a new squad, is in trouble of getting relegated by March, gets sacked, new guy comes in..... How long does that go on for before trying something different?
  19. No way we've deffo had much much worse than Calvin Zola the mind tends to blank them out though ;)
  20. Are you asking whether we should sack LJ if we are in danger of going down? The way I see it I can't see him walking or being pushed so the question is do we stick or twist if we go down?
