  1. No urgency from Charlton. Like a kick around in the park for them.
  2. They just keep adding on letters for the fun of it don’t they. Where did the Q and I come from?
  3. That’s shocking if true. And shows a complete lack of professionalism. The only prep work Wellens should be doing this week is prep for Saturday’s match. After that, he’s free to attend any interview he pleases. I hope it’s not true.
  4. Any scans knocking about? EDIT - Just read it on Twitter. Clearly a sabotage job from Rochdale to try and unsettle us before tomorrow’s game
  5. Just as Northampton bang in goal number 10...
  6. It is crazy. They’re not assured of their place. It wouldn’t even take a miracle for them to miss out, especially if they play a second string team against a team scrapping for their lives. Plymouth will be going all out too. A 6 goal swing isn’t a impossible to turn around if the right set of circumstances are present on Saturday. Charlton not fielding their best team is one of the big factors in creating those circumstances.
  7. It sounds like the sort of channel you'd expect Alan Partridge to present on.
  8. Jesus eh? Well, if they do stay up at our expense I say we lynch the cunt and make use of that cross at the top of Besom Hill.
  9. This will be a very tough game. They're gonna come out of the traps flying, like all out attack with nothing to lose. I hope Wellens isn't under the impression that these have given up and will be a walkover. A team with everything to gain and fuck all to lose is as tough of a team we could face on Saturday and if we don't keep our shit together early on, it'll be very hard to get a result.
  10. I’d stick with him and bring in an experienced number 2. Really can’t be arsed with all the uphieval and uncertainty of firing/hiring again. At some point we need to give someone a sustained chance. Otherwise we’ll never see progression.
  11. Remember that every goal they score counts as double 'cause it deducts from us too
  12. Nah, they have a game in hand too. Keeping Northampton below us was more important. They actually can't leapfrog us now (well, short of scoring 6 or so next week).
  13. That's excellent result. It means N'Ton can't leap frog us now. We can lose next week and stay up if Rochdale lose
  14. I can't imagine we'll be signing Doyle if we go down. Even if we are willing to stump up his wages, there'll be plenty of L1 teams who'll take him. Hopefully we'll keep Davies though. The likes of Hunt, Dummigan, Edmundson and Stott are young enough and probably good enough to be very capable players at that level. In midfield, I'd keep Fane purely as a squad player though, in no way should be the first name on the sheet like this season. Would be nice to keep Byrne but we may not have a choice. We'll also see what Paddy Mac is made of at that level.
  15. Nepo's decent at crossing. If we have Doyle, Holloway and Nazon on the pitch it makes sense to try and get balls in the box. As for Fane. I don't think he's a bad player, but he slows our play down to the point that it's hard to get any fluidity going when he's on the pitch. He has a role to play in the squad for sure, but if the strength of this team is to attack, we shouldn't be playing a cumbersome defensive midfielder every game. It's a negative approach really and we have to go all out and try and get that fluidity in our play again. Fane isn't conducive to fast attacking football. Bring him on by all means when we want to slow play down. But I'd like to see a midfield without him, just for one game.
  16. We should be okay as long as we don't tweet about it.
  17. *Drop Fane *Play Nepo *Offer a £2000 scoring and assist bonus *Offer a £2000 clean sheet bonus to back 4 and goalkeeper *Buy the player Nandos for tea if we win
  18. Won't lie, I'll settle for just the 3 points right now.
  19. I’ve been calling for Fane to be dropped for a while, but if we are playing top heavy with 4 attackers then it’s wise for Fane to play so he can cover the defence. We clearly don’t intend to be dominating midfield, the ball’s gonna either be played route one, or down the flanks. Playing Byrne too could leave us too exposed in the middle. Hopefully if things don’t go to plan, Byrne can be brought on to have an impact as he did against Blackpool
