  1. That option was taken at the start of last season iirc, after he was heavily linked with a move to Barca.
  2. Hopefully he signs a new deal with us. Another one who'll be more than capable in L2.
  3. Baxter may still be good. I hope he is. But Byrne's the here and now. He may have a dodgy attitude, but like most players with any real quality that we sign, there's bound to be a flaw, otherwise they don't sign with us. We know Byrne will be one of the best players in this division, where as we know that Baxter might be. I just hope we don't get rid of Byrne. If we want to come back up, we need our best players.
  4. I really wouldn't. Byrne will be an exemplary midfielder in League Two next year if we keep him. Baxter has a lot to prove if he signs. It's not 2013 anymore. His age would say he's got plenty left in the tank. But he's been out of league football for a hell of a long time.
  5. Fuggit, I’ve just bought one. We better not be shít.
  6. Forte would score more than Holloway Just sayin’...
  7. Welbeck and Phil Jones don't deserve a place. They both had their chance with the failed generation and haven't cut it. I'd have taken Lallana, he's played well for England most times he's played and deserved a place
  8. Nice one. I understand the ones we’ve changed for sponsorship reasons, but I don’t get why we have released a new one for the past 3 seasons? More people would buy them if they weren’t out of date after a single season.
  9. Can’t grumble at a tenner, I’m guessing there’ll be a new top for next season. Haven’t bought a club shirt in years. Is it still a new home and away one every season? When was the last time we wore one for two seasons?
  10. I'd rather keep Clarke out of the two. But really they both ought to go.
  11. I don’t know what’s wrong with that guy, but I bet it’s difficult to pronounce
  12. I've probably been one of Fane's biggest critics this season but I'm delighted he's being kept on. He can clearly do a job as a squad player and will be a more affective player a league below. He just shouldn't have started as many games as he did this season, purely for tactical reasons.
  13. Zeus De La Paz and Placide both have another year? Christ.
  14. There really isn’t a case for keeping Placide, or Gerrard either for that matter. They’ve been two integral parts of a defence that’s conceded 75 goals this season, the 2nd worst in the division. Funnily enough we also scored the same amount as Charlton. If only we had a decent defence this season. That’s where our money should have gone in January, instead of re-signing an injured Doyle who wouldn’t play for over a month.
  15. We don’t want to throw the baby out with the bath water. There’s players in this squad who’ll be more than capable in L2, even if a few have under performed this season. Our best chance is to build upon our team, not to gut it completely.
  16. Keep: Edmundson Hamer Stott Hunt Dummigan Moimbe (if possible) Byrne Gardner Paddy Mc Fane Davies Doyle (unlikely)
  17. Nope, can’t use this one. We were pretty unanimous that Richie should have been offered the job after his run as caretaker.
  18. And you know what, fair play to Joey Thompson, if I could have picked a way for us to get relegated, I’d have picked this.
  19. It’s all pretty moot. I think he’ll be gone after this. I’m not sure how I feel. Initially I wanted the stability of not changing managers and giving him another season. But the run of games we’ve had in April and May and not being able to record more than 1 win is nearly unforgivable. In truth, I’m not really arsed at the moment. That season doesn’t deserve analysing or stewing over. I’m taking a break from caring. The World Cup is at least a worthy distraction whilst the shambles going on at the club sorts itself out for the new season.
