    The quality was on our side and unlike what I witnessed at the start of the season, we made it count. I wish Branger would fuck about a bit less and put in more effort in winning and chasing the ball, but his numerous one-two with Gevaro were pretty on point in the second half. Baxter was tremendous and deserved his MOTM although I think Lang had a decent shout for it too. Top performance capped with two quality goals at the end.

    If I was a player who'd been done over betting on games they aren't directly involved in I'd be pretty miffed right about now. Especially so if it comes to pass that we meet Salford in direct competition whilst Scholes is in charge. Still, glad the manager situation is looking like it'll be resolved soon.

    Nah, don't worry about it. Getting relegated was the best thing for the club, it'll allow us to rebuild so we can go back into League One a rejuvenated club and make a challenge for promotion to The Championship

    Better team won. Might as well hit the snooze button until August. Short of signing 3 or 4 quality players we’ll struggle to make a playoff charge. Fair play to the lads for getting this far.

    The best thing about supporting Oldham is the fan outrage at times like this. Scholes hasn't even said he's not becoming manager, just that he's not willing to confirm if he's in talks. And if it's not Scholes, so what? Most fans on here seem resigned that we won't go up this season anyway despite us still being a couple of wins from the playoffs. Sit back and enjoy the drama I say.

    It's a fantastic appointment. There's no chance Scholes will tolerate the hoofball and lack of control that we saw yesterday. He'll have us playing good football.
