    If he has signed today it will proberly take until tomorrow before it is registered which means no annoucement from us similar to Stephens' deal.

    The thing that bothers me most about Udders is that they are described as a good footballing team, from what I have seen they can pass the ball but prefer to kick the opposition

    I 100% agree, the arrogance of the two clubs that they could compete at the highest level in England is downwright thick. The squads they have now are Championship at best, and look at all the decent League 1 players who have shown up there such as Killen.

    It would be interesting to see which team lost 5-0 and which one won 1-0, what are the odds that Feeney scored the goal?

    The reason why for that was, say they throw him up and score with 15 mins left he can then go back and defend. If a striker had been brought on then if the equaliser had been scored, would have been dodgy at the back.

    I hate to say but I totally agree, it is a real worry. We need more creative centre midfielder, a 20 goal a season would be great but they cost money and are hard to find. Watching Latics in the 2nd half of the season left me with a feeling that we lacked oomph, someone who would open a defence up and grab the game by the scruff of the neck. I fear this season could be the same, we scored a lot of great goals last season but how many in the 6 yeard box?

    It could well have been his agent, but because he is coming from Scotland it means that there is more paperwork so could have come out that way. We need paperwork with FIFA, FA and SFA because he will be registered in Scotland which may also explain the hold up.

    I couldn't give a damm about what he said about the pope mobile, lets be honest that sort of thing is not a problem this side of the border. I don't think one player who has a habit of saying stupid stuff is about to bring any problems.

    Looks like the imminent signing won't be happening until tomorrow at the earliest, it would not be that be that bad if it wasn't for the site reporting them. I like knowing we are close to signings but only when we are actully close and will sign them later that day, rather than potenitally 3/4 days later.

    This season has a higher standard of teams without doubt, but every year the standard increases. This season could go anywhere for us, we could be promoted with a new stadium on the horizon, or relegated with an uncertain future and everything inbetween.

    Well the problem Middleton comes under Rochdale council so won't Oldham need approval from the FA in regards to moving a 2nd club into the same area.

    Corney would not have him back after the promises he made, it was a very vocal outburst from the club. The only time I can remember off the top of my head that the club has openly critised a departing player.

    Bury aren't going to sell unless he is unhappy and forces the issue, last I heard he was happy there. He is there top guy and they have already sold a player this summer, and don't need the money. If we get I'd be buzzing but I very much doubt we will.

    I think it was the Penney season, a striker made a shock tackle on him. In his next programme notes he said it was a career threatening injury, Gregan thought it was on purpose and at his age would have ended it.
