  1. I'm 50/50 on cases like this, being a liberal mindset you look at it and say he served his time. What he did, though, was terrible. For me the he should be able to have a career for one reason, he didn't do it on purpose. I know that might not mean anything to some, but he didn't go out to hurt anyone. What he did was something many have done and will continue to do, he caused an accident that on another day may not have killed anyone. Now the family of the kids won't want him to play, I'm sure, but he is out of prison and has a right to earn.
  2. Doubt we will offer anyone a contract until we know our stayers and goers
  3. I'll put myself forward as the first applicant to ring people if the club bring something like this in, I need a job and have a qualification in customer service/contact centre. Could be done all year round to be honest, not just for STs but match tickets, player sponsorships, club shirts, deals in the club shop. Numbers should be easy to get hold of, ST holders, any who have bought things online could be asked to give number, loads of ways. Wouldn't happen though the club is skint.
  4. The club can't afford to offer long-term contracts, the budget is determined by the season's income. So if we get 7,000 in every game we can have a decent budget, if we get 4,000 we are always going struggle. It seems that the crowd numbers are staying the same which is good, hopefully we get more this season with the kids for a tenner. Season tickets have gone up which is music to everyone's ears, the hope will be that the kids spend a lot of money at the game, drag thier parents along, maybe bring a mate and buy the club shirt.
  5. We offered him a deal months back, along with Taylor.
  6. He has a year left and we have no idea what position we will be in after that.
  7. I like his reasoning I thought it was scruffy so I stole everything from it, also what did he leave to those teammates in the house or have they gone too?
  8. It seems strange to get so angry about a badge, club's change them for a number of reasons. Still the same club and considering they just won promotion it's a big deal over nothing.
  9. And fans who moan at more than 2 passes in defence.
  10. A Championship club went for him last summer and failed, also haven't Doncastor got a manager?
  11. It didn't go from ST to open sale, it went; ST, those with vouchers, open. The vouchers came from the cup games, if you attend every game but don't have a ST you'd have got a ticket. This happened months ago, and the club can't make allowences for indie cases. Most clubs do the same.
  12. Dad was Oldham, mum United my brother went for United but buys a ST with me and my dad. I like United and cheer them on, I'm perhaps as big a United fan as many of those wearing tops and not going. Difference is I like United, I love Oldham.
  13. Let's say you do a bit of work at a weekend that pays you about £50, what's more important to you that or your full-time job?
  14. So you think it is fair that a fan who atteneds 23 home games a season and pays months before they know the squad shouldn't be seemed as being more important than those who don't attend? Or attend rarely?
  15. Sign if we can afford I think that he will sign for someone like Huddersfield.
  16. Are you accusing a comment about your topless photo as being homophobic? I don't quite understand, so either we are all homophoibic or you're being melo-dramatic. I find it more offensive that you instantly make out that people on this board are homophobes. Football isn't 'gay friendly' but also people get :censored: for holding their gf's hand, if you want to talk about homosexuals in football start a new thread it is a good discussion to have. It is not, however, fair to conclude that someone is a homophobe based on your picture. I will repeat once again don't be so soft.
  17. Why would the clum want to lessen the amount times people go to Boundary Park for any reason? There's a club shop to run and many will use a trip to buy tickets to also pick up some stuff,
  18. I want MK Dons up despite their foundation being a scummy one there are the lesser of three evils, Stevenage aren't quite evil but it would be bad for League 1's image if a non-league side made it into the Championship. Besides if they go up Simmo may might go home.
  19. Why do go there topless as well? Come on now don't be soft
  20. United's new kit is an eye sore, but this kit is good. It looks modern and fashionable for a football kit.
  21. Ome of the lads from Emmerdale was in the programme a few years back, didn't someone mention Kevin Sinfield (spelling?) a while back, Andrew Driver who plays for Hearts, Blackpool's goalie Gilks and does Taylor count?
  22. Steve Howard 1995–1999 Hartlepool United 142 (27) 1999–2001 Northampton Town 86 (18) 2001–2006 Luton Town 212 (96) 2006–2008 Derby County 63 (17) 2008 → Leicester City (loan) 1 (0) 2008– Leicester City 146 (28) Kuqi's English career 2001–2002 Stockport County 35 (11) 2002–2003 Sheffield Wednesday 64 (19) 2003 → Ipswich Town (loan) 11 (4) 2003–2005 Ipswich Town 79 (30) 2005–2006 Blackburn Rovers 34 (7) 2006–2009 Crystal Palace 78 (17) 2007–2008 → Fulham (loan) 10 (0) 2008 → Ipswich Town (loan) 4 (0) 2009–2010 TuS Koblenz 17 (7) 2010–2011 Swansea City 20 (5) 2010 → Derby County (loan) 12 (2) 2011 Newcastle United 6 (0) 2011– Oldham Athletic 40 (11)
  23. This whole booing returning players is thick, but then again so is the banter between fans now so not really a surprise.
