  1. Nice one! Lets not forget it was our failure to score and not a poor defence that got us into trouble.
  2. He likes to cross, can make the space to cross, has a few tricks, is fairly quick and, a big and, he wasn't signed by Dickov but by Lee Johnson who I trust. We need a team! Two players for each position. This is a great signing. A winger who also has an eye for goal. There is no doubt that with Lee Johnson, who I trust, he will be fit - they will all be fitter than last year. Our bread and butter will be picking up players and improving them.
  3. This forum is no different to any other on any subject. It is the more 'vocal' and extreme views which are represented because all the others, the silent majority, are just well silent. Having said that the views expressed are in my view representative of what the majority are thinking if you turn them down a notch or two.
  4. As nice as they both are and as happy as I am that Lee Johnson is our manager their combined experience of manager and 1st team coach is err six weeks! I'm sure it will be fine. Championship in two!
  5. An amusing thread! And then there were none!
  6. The old man who resigned or rather left by mutual consent or was take a little less in pay out and I won't say I sacked you. The same old man who was taking us down and who couldn't get us a finish above 16th. The new man. What has he done - only saved us from relegation and had players busting their gut for him, us and the club.
  7. If the money is right you sell because at the right price LJ could improve the team. Team building is what it is all about. Ask Gary!
  8. Scholes could have helped us as a player, as a contact or with money. Can't see him as either a coach or a manager but no doubt Utd will find him something to do if he wants it.
  9. Seat numbers in Main Stand start at Chaddy end. Just go to ground as they let me go in and look at the available seats. I will renew on the 30th by cheque so the money comes out of my June pension! Numbers now are no indication. I'm sure that with, In Lee Johnson We Trust, season ticket sales for adults will go up possibly for the first time for years.
  10. In LJ I trust. There were times when heads went down and the players gave up but most of the time they did try. It was just poor management, lack of physical and mental fitness, lack of motivation and 11 individuals rather than a team. Simpson has ability but the difficulty he had staying on his feet seemed to be matched by a difficulty in remaining focussed. I'm not sure what his best position would be. If LJ thinks he will fit into the team he is going to produce for us then I'll live with that.
  11. As far as I can tell they did not break any rule. It would be a different matter if they had agreed in advance to draw the game but they didn't. They competed and then did the equivalent of holding the ball up in the corner to see out the match. Had we been in the same situation I would expect and want our team to do the same.
  12. Pity! We could have had Bouzanis, Brown, Belezika, Byrne and a resigned Black as our Blockers.
  13. They don't mind you sending them emails. They just don't read them or bother to answer if they do.
  14. I am grateful that we are seeing the back of the awful drab blue shirt. I wish they had given it up before the end of the season. It was not a good colour to play in. Is Raspberry by any chance a shade of, dare I say it, RED?
  15. We don't want to wait for bargains - we want LJ to build a team of players that he knows and wants. Players will want to play for him.
  16. Whoever they are lets just hope we sign players early so we are not picking from the best of the rest. In Lee Johnson we trust. I suspect Simon has got a bull by the tail in that Lee will talk him to death until he gets his way, nice and calmly but on and on in English sentences.
  17. I renew every year because my son is a bully! Freezing the price just acknowledges what has happened to most peoples income. If they really wanted to do something then offering monthly payments direct to the club without interest or admin charges by direct debit would encourage more people to buy i.e. £32.80 per month for ten month from May for a main stand ticket. Simple! Junior supporters in the Main Stand so long as an adult season ticket holder takes responsibility. The new shirt must be a new shirt because the 'NEW' replica kit is already on sale for £20. I just pray that the new new kit will be the right colour blue and have some white in it. Lee Johnson's BLUE and WHITE army!!!!
  18. So now LJ knows who we think he should keep! Croft - it has to be Croft. Baxter has yet to reach full fitness and often had attitude problems, stupid penalty, not tracking back....
  19. His steaks are large but he is a Leeds supporter and you all know what we think about them! No smoke without fire however. Last year season tickets went on sale on the 10th April and we had until 11th May to take advantage of the reduced price. I understand why the club will have held off until after the Crawley game but I can't understand why an announcement wasn't made on Monday especially as we know a video with the lost Captain Fantastic was produced before he went to South Africa.
  20. I kind of think the failure to encourage more people to show up for the last two home games by dropping prices suggests the best we can get is no increase on last year with the £10 child ticket dropped unless with an adult.
  21. LJ wanted to see a league winning performance and he got what we have seen for most of the season. There are some, I include Baxter, who don't have that in them. A fit Croft does. It is 46 games of hard graft.
  22. If we can we should keep him unless he has reached his peak of fitness because you can't start games knowing someone is going to have to be substituted. If he can get fitter then he will be a 20+ goal machine and top wages would be in order. Just because you have a tall target man doesn't mean you shouldn't play an attractive passing game but he has to fit into the high tempo. The option that you can throw the ball in will keep the defence on the back foot.
  23. Before LJ arrived I would have expected all of the out of contract players to go. Who would want to stay and under perform for another year? Who would have wanted league 2? Now that there is a certain buzz about the place players might be having second thoughts. How many of them can realistically go to a Championship club and money will be tight in all the league 1 clubs next year. Possibly some will see the best route to the Championship as staying where they are.
  24. He has talked the players into submission! LJ for England.
  25. LJ said on late kick off that he had 18 players out of contract. This would seem to include those where we have an option. He also hinted at trying to keep some of those out of contract as a nucleus of players for the 2013 squad.
