  1. They are clearly not direct replacements because both are shite and nowhere near what we had.
  2. Who you putting forward as replacements then? Once the Fulham game was played they went and our record since then reads played 11 won 2, drawn 4 and lost 5 under two different managers, neither of which had any real opportunity to strengthen in the window. We pissed about bringing in Sylla and Vera and I'd say Vera was the direct replacement for Surridge and he's been a bigger waste of time than the rest of the forwards put together this season and I dread to think what wage he's stealing.
  3. The way I see it we've spent another season with another load of crock of shite forwards who we've wasted an absolute fortune on when we should of brought in one decent one and backed him up with a couple of Prem/Championship loanees, every team at the right end of this division has one quality goalscorer, our season ended when Surridge went back and he wasn't replaced, it really is weird given we were still right in the mix till January in both the League and FA Cup and in my opinion Abdallah has gotten of very lightly for the shit show of a season which in my opinion he has fucked up for the second season running.
  4. Good point BP, many should care though because based on recent performances most would struggle to get a deal at a football league club for next season. Watched Salford v Solihull yesterday and had the displeasure of witnessing Jamie Reckord struggle for 90 minutes against a very average Salford side, found it difficult to believe that we could well be playing one or both of them next season - Solihull fucking Moors!!!
  5. We went through a very important window without a manager and no notable signings after losing probably two of our better players, not surprised we are where we are, another season finished by boardroom incompetence - unfortunately. Don't think he'll be sacking himself any time soon though so it is what it is, won't see another penny off me though this season.
  6. I will be back next season, didn't bother with Saturday as the result was predictable given the nature of the squad Scholes inherited, just out of interest why bring this 'French lads' argument up when anyone appears to question whether they are good enough, personally only really rate Nepo out of AL's signing, some of the others show glimpses but show little consistency, that's just my opinion though and no doubt Scholes will keep the ones he wants and fire the chaff off accordingly and that includes the non 'French' lads - Gardner, Hunt, Coke and O'Grady to name just a few. Once we've strengthen with Scholes signings and start competing I will return with the thousand or so others who gave it a swerve after what had been served up in the previous couple of home games, don't care if they are French or Swahili if I'm honest I just want to see a team competing in this dogshit division we are in.
  7. Great news if true. Let Scholes pick his own team and let's judge him on that, let's face it since AL and his sidekick have been heading recruitment we've found ourselves as a mid table League 2 side in no time with some fans even clapping them off after a 1-1 draw at home to Stevenage fucking Borough. Honestly wouldn't be arsed if we lost any of our own other than Clarke, Edmondson, Hamer and Baxter. I'd love us to keep Iverson, Dearnley and Lang but appreciate the chance of that may be slim but other than that they can all go for me.
  8. Personally think we'd have more points if we'd of kept and backed Bunn but it is what it is.
  9. Will call this one now and say Gardner will end up signing for either non league Salford City or non league Chesterfield.
  10. If he plays 75% of our games I'd suggest we are settling for life in League 2, for what we are paying Maouche we could get a real good player for our level, both could go for me.
  11. It's the same old, same old though isn't it really, plenty of powder puff players who are generally inconsistent and an eleven who very rarely put a professional 90 minute performance in and before anyone drags up Fulham you can look at it two ways we either smash and grabbed there after getting battered or this group set themselves a bench mark they don't seem content to try and reach again this season.
  12. Did I miss anything today? Thought not with the season being over, hopefully a whole new team for next season barring two or three.
  13. Personally I'd say we will finish between 10th and 14th, question is would that be classed as satisfactory?
  14. Couple of home games ago I got to the match a little early so got myself a pie and brew and sat in one of the thousand or so seats in the MSU, I was literally one of about a dozen in that stand, plonked myself down and within a couple of minutes being moved by a chap holding his ticket asking me to move, probably one of them red scum who'd come to see Scholes but it made me chuckle.
  15. Think your being generous with 3000 if I'm honest, Dale would probably take more and that's saying something.
  16. Ironically I will probably take advantage of the offer for next season and knock it on the head for this season barring Exeter away.
  17. Meanwhile in Oldham our fans are still defending the likes of O'Grady
  18. You could clear that whole squad out of our 'own' players and very few would be missed, let's face it only Iverson, Surridge and Lang have shown any real quality this season, okay George has shown some glimpses but it's as poor a bunch as I've ever seen.
  19. Think Bury are a bit better than some are expecting, really do well to pinch a point today.
  20. They had 4200 home fans for the recent game with Lincoln that was on Sky so 5000 isn't totally inconceivable in a game they could go top in.
