  1. He just seems to be a "mopper-up", neat on the ball defensively but little vision going forward. Still think he could be good with a decent attacking midfielder.
  2. If everybody turns up.............hope the players do !
  3. True, him and Beckham didn't need to beat their man to whip a cross in but both varied them quite a bit, something Kitching doesn't do.
  4. All gate receipts are being donated by the club.
  5. He rarely beats a man ( but still gets his crosses in ) and hasn't the pace to chase back but is probably still out most creative player going forward ! He also doesn't seem to change his deliveries much, but then again we seldom get a man across the near post so his options are limited. We still seem to be trying to play with wing backs when there aren't any on the books ( maybe Benny ) just to accommodate our numerous centre halves.
  6. Don't you pay a premium if you donate via "Go Fund Me"? I've given a couple of months ago and sure I had to pay a couple of quid over the intended donation.
  7. Oldham News | Main News | Latics reduce admission to £1 for heroic chairman Frank's homecoming match - Oldham Chronicle (oldham-chronicle.co.uk)
  8. Yes, lost one of them at Notts County ? I think and had people on their hands and knees searching for it.
  9. Still think Melon is deciding who is or isn't in his plans for next season, so yes. Probably should have put the word whether after confirming in my post.
  10. David Eyres is his agent but agreed he should have more time on the pitch. I'd sooner him come on than Green on Saturday but maybe Melon is confirming Green is not in his plans ?
  11. Not being directly facing the teammate passing you the ball thus enabling you to turn towards the opposition goal and pass to another teammate further upfield or (saints preserve us) have a shot on goal !!
  12. Not disputing anyone's right to show their displeasure however they wish I was just attempting to show I was not one of the "Nuttall Boo Boys".
  13. I've defended Nuttall since his arrival to people sitting near me at BP and never booed my team or any of it's players but some footballer's attitudes don't help their cause.
  14. Not the be all and end all showing a bit of desire. If someone was playing shit and swanning about but still scoring goals then OK, but to do the first bits and not score much, if at all, is next to useless.
  15. So do I but to suggest his poor performances can be excused by the team's style of play is stretching it quite a bit. Agreed his style is languid but it's is a very poor one for a central forward. They need to be busy chasing balls into the box or holding up the ball waiting for support, none of which he's seemed capable of. He has no great desire to score goals which is a pre-requisite in a centre forward. Since Norwood arrived I've seen him slide in against the goalie whilst scoring against Chesterfield and follow up Dickenson's shot at Gateshead ending up in the back of the net with a defender, showing a yearning for goals that sadly Nuttall lacks. I can't remember Nuttall being off his feet much in any match. I hope I'm wrong but he looks to lack the basic instinct to be a footballer.
  16. Difference is Nuttall has had plenty of chances and cruises through games and Willoughby's chances have been limited and he seemed to put a bit of effort in.
  17. Suppose we'll never know unless the lad gets a game. I've not seen him play but would hope he's amongst those kids who get a chance when we're comfortably in the play-offs. As you say it's a bit different playing men's football, as Sachdev is finding out presently.
