    No supporter would reject an upgrade in any of our players, it's the progressive thing to do, but until those better players actually sign we need to shelve the pointless criticism of certain players. There are at least three positions we need to strengthen before we address the shortcomings of Sheron or the goalies.

    Thought our frost covers were only effective down to -2 ? Problem is it's not getting much warmer during the day. Hope I'm wrong but would think it's doubtful.

    Think Lundstrom would definitely fit into our midfield with at least one possibly two additions. He retains the ball well and is an excellent crosser so may be OK on the right of a midfield three.

    Obviously very disappointing today. We looked tired and, as Gardner was one of the ones who didn't turn up, short of ideas. Green showed little urgency ( could be playing with an injury? ) more or less refusing to take his man on and Norwood and Fondop way off the pace so very little threat up front. Maybe the two long away trips took more out of them than we thought but credit to Ebbsfleet who played very well, albeit without much opposition.

    Fondop's looking a lot better player now he's controlled his aggression and will prove to be a good partner for Norwood ( or whoever ) if he keeps it up. Though what was going through his head when he "goose-stepped" down the left wing in the second half is anybody's guess.

    Can remember thinking I hope they don't score another after Niall Quinn? scored, and that was in the 90th minute, but that's what supporting Latics does to you !!

    You'd think he was Franz Beckenbauer the number of times he had the ball. When I was playing the idea was to get it to the best players all the time not give it to your weakest. Having said that he wasn't much worse than Alexander Arnold who surely can't keep his place in the squad as he's not a midfielder and England have more right backs than we've got centre halves.

    Doesn't usually bother me what the "experts" say but Dublin should stick to Homes under the Hammer because he's embarrassing himself on Channel 4. Is Alexander Arnold his love child as he consistently talks up his contribution and rarely says anything a four year old couldn't spot.* * Apologies to any four year olds who post on here !

    Think even the most optimistic amongst us would concede that midfield does need strengthening either permanently or via the loan market. Whilst acknowledging we have not seen the best of Ward or Lundstram Gardner remains our main attacking midfield threat and his inability to string appearances together is concerning. I'm sure our manager has recognised this and January will see the problem addressed.
