  1. Fair enough. The manager I definitely agree on. For the reasons you point out.
  2. This assumes we are a well run club, with a bit in the bank. Who can afford to pay 3/4 weeks wages for players who are away. We haven’t been this for as long as I can remeber.
  3. Come off it. So let’s say he signs 4 players today. What prep are they getting before they report back? How are the squad gelling when their all on holiday??? How is it a false economy? If money is tight, are you suggesting you want what little we’ve got to go on players who won’t even be here for another month? We do this every year. An every year people seemed surprised.
  4. I actually think it’s prudent. Why would you sign players now, when your effectively paying for them to go holiday until July? Plus you’ve got to pay all the current squad with no income coming in. Why would you add to that? It it doesn’t make any sense. As long as the manager is appointed before the first of July, and he has a bit of squad and additions coming in, we’ll be fine. (In terms of prep)
  5. An there in lies the problem. We can’t expect miracles of any head coach with average players. Marco will like.
  6. Stop generalising Kow. Your better than that.
  7. What’s their plan then? Can you send me a link?
  8. Just f**king swallow it Barry. . The sweet I mean. He got his usual, ‘what the fans have to realise is’ in the first two minutes. What’s unsettling, is that Barry is a classic brown nose. Who will say, and do anything to remain in the directors box. Hence why he said nothing, did nothing, and sat on his arse for two years while being shut out by Corney. Barry defended when Simon liked him, and know he slags him off know there is new show in town. Eventually, AL will start ignoring him. And guess what- Barry will say nothing, and do nothing. Then there will be a new show in town. . .
  9. Barry is in bed with Marco. Do you mean someone of Barry’s Ilk in the fan group? If so, that’s terrifying. . another detective shitpeas. I don’t know many latics fans personally, which is exactly my point. I judge on what I see. AL has a track record. The fans don’t- Yet. Even if I don’t know who the fan group are, but they do things in the best interest of club, I will be happy. If they don’t, I will have the same beef as I do with AL. Lets see what transpires. Actions always speak louder than words.
  10. I really find people’s suspicion of fans and defending of AL bizarre. Have we had a memory lapse?? Question. If you could have the choice in the next few years of who owned us outright. Would people want AL or for us to be fan owned?
  11. You know they want to push him out? You know they want to work against him? Or are you just guessing? Personally, I have no idea what there purpose is. What I do know is AL’s track record, and it ain’t good.
  12. How can you be more worried about genuine fans than AL? That’s a strange viewpoint. The fans group haven’t even come out properly yet with their plans. AL has a track record to gauge his progress on, and he’s made far more mistakes than anything productive. I thinks it’s the fan group that needs time.
  13. I’ll have a go on Baz’s opener. ‘What the fans have got to realise is. . ‘
  14. Maybe people want to believe (against their better judgement) that there is hope. (When we know we’re screwed)
  15. Very interesting. He didn’t HAVE to say any of that. However he did. Why say that if your ‘the typical forgein owner who never attends and doesn’t give a fuck’ it doesn’t make sense. FWIW. I think in his own way he actually really wants to make a go of it. It’s just that his methods are so left field, and confrontational that he makes people wary. It’s his way. Or fuck off. I’m still very sceptical of his methods, but I have to say he does make some salient points. However he can’t blame the previous owners for to long. . Remember the mess labour left us in. . . But. An I can’t believe I’m typing this, -We now turn bids for players. Hallyfuckinluah. - He’s appointed a commercial guy. (Someone with a bit a track record) -He’s released plans for a proper training ground. There are tentative signs of a proper infrastructure. Which is fabulous and what we all want. . . Until he signs a Namibian centre forward.
  16. ‘Yet make out they can affect some change’ Your just making stuff up now. What you would do with all this knowledge if it was bestowed on you. . . Your options would be limitless.
  17. ‘Least they could do is update fans.’ They do. . . they release what they can/are allowed. Then you say it’s not enough! I thought you just acknowledged the trust are powerless? So why do you moan at people that you accept are no position to do what you want?
  18. Do you understand what the trust is? Seriously? What power do you think they have over a private businessman whose company isn't in administration? The answer is none. It seems you want a bunch of volunteers to gain the trust of the owner so he tells them whatever little he chooses. Then you want them to out him, fully minute and publicise every word he says. . Betraying what slither of cooperation there is. To achieve what? Force him to sell? To who? He clearly loves the ego trip of owning a club. If he is paying the bills, and keeps us out of court. He is answerable to no one! My advice- stick the cricket on.
  19. But where does that money go? Surely they wouldn’t just give it to Marco? Does it start a pot to oust him eventually? I will wait to see more detail. IF I knew for fact that Marco got nowhere near it, I would consider it yes.
  20. Depends what you mean by supporting? Do I think it’s a positive. Yes. Do I think it will alter the football side of things. . . not one iota.
